Siti Nurhaliza or known as Dato’Sri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin is a 41 years old singer, composer, lyricist, businesswomen, actress, model for her own companies and mother of 1. She made her debut after she won a local singing competition show Bintang HMI in 1995 when she was 16. She has recorded songs and sings in multiple language such as Malay, English, Arabic, Japanese, Tamil, Mandarin since 1996[The year her first album was released]. You might be wondering why does she have Dato’Sri in her name. Basically Dato’Sri is a honoured title given by the King to her for her contribution to Malaysia. Siti Nurhaliza is also known as the Voice Of Asia[Even Alicia Keys introduce her in MTV Asia 2005 with this name]and she is also known as Asia’s Celine Dion by the British Press. Currently Siti is listed as one of Malaysia's richest, most-influential, most award-winning, and most single-produced artist. She is also one of Malaysia's best selling artists, with her album sales having contributed to 10 percent of Malaysia's total album sales for 2001. To date, she has sold more than 6 million in record sales. To date Siti Nurhaliza has won more than 300 local and international awards. Not to forget since her debut it 1996, she has been appointed as ambassadors for lots of companies including Pantene, Pepsi, Pepsi Blue, Maybelline, Mitsubishi Trium, Nippon, Samsung and many more. Siti Nurhaliza is a legend in her own right in Malaysia and around the region. Perhaps you can listen to other performances of hers in the same concert (known as the Dato' Siti Nurhaliza & Friends Concert) that was held in 2016 to celebrate her 20th year in the industry. Thank you for sharing this video, it reminds me of our foreign 3 years assignment in Malaysia. She was at that time newly discovered as a new champion singer at age 16, after listening to her voice instantly we became a fan and we watched her concert, live show and bought some of her album records. But afterwards we lost track of her bcos we were assigned to different countries. And finally after so many years not knowing about her I could not believe that I will be listening to her again through your channel. She is really a good singer, even better now. The voice was the original Whitney Houston. It was recorded when she first started her career. I think it was back in 1982. The video and the actress were only there for the MV for dramatic purposes. You can see clips of Whitney Houston's hometown, school, etc throughout the video. And Siti Nurhaliza's journey as a singer as well in South East Asia. Very great tribute and performance from two legendary singers.
