Hua Chenyu is in Singer 2018 together with Jessie J and KZ. His music and performance is very unique, every performance is different, he is one of the most versatile artist that I ever seen, ever performance on Singer 2018 is worth checking! This song is so dark, mysterious and ethereal.

He can belt till G5..but only showed once...he is a Tenor, and the most amazing vocal abilities he has is switching different tones so easily, quickly and correctly, he is a master of using his own voice to color the music. He knows what emotions his tones gonna deliver to audience. A true artist.

This is not his song, originaly, but it is almost as it is, he rearanged it and nade it new... and put all kinds of feelings into it. He has rearanged this song many times, all versions great, but this one is just something else. He is one of the most unique and original and not to mention 'eccentric' artistes out there. He composes most of his own songs and re-arranges almost all of his own public performaces. Extremely versatile and talented. He adopts different personas according to the song he performs. He can be a rebel rocker in one, an innocent child in the next and so forth. Congratulations! You just discovered the most versatile young singer/composer in Asia! In fact, I even haven't found a similar artist who is as versatile as him in western yet... A bit of his background info: HUA Chenyu (HUA is a family name), aka Hua Hua 花花, 28 years old, is a singer-songwriter/composer in China. He is well known for his powerful vocals, dramatic stage performance and talents in composing. He plays piano, guitar, flute, drum...etc. He has very solid classical background but he is a rock star who can also do rap, pop, ballad, opera, musical....etc. Huahua has the power of making any songs his own! He re-arranged pretty much all the songs he sang on the "Singer 2018" stage. He's just incredibly versatile & full of artistry and creativity!!! He confessed later that the song was an extremely bold attempt and he was prepared to be ranked last as he thought many people would not be able to accept it This is the most respectful part for me. .After watching the whole episode, I feel that other singers sing “songs”, while Hua Chenyu sings “himself”. When other singers is trying hard to sing with emotion, Huajust expresses his emotion through music. That’s the difference between “singer” and “artist “. Obviously, he’s on another level. He’s definitely a musical prodigy!!! Suggest "Nunchurks", "I dont care" " Child" of him. You will amazed.

You should see the song Dad I'm home. It's literally heartbreaking but something people should listen to because of the deep message. Another unbelievable singer was at that season of The singer you certainly appreciate Tengri from Inner Mongolia singing Heaven showing a traditional way of singing which is completely foreign.

Also from Singer 2018 - Hua Chenyu "Nunchucks", KZ Tandingan "Rolling In The Deep" (a surprising interpretation), and Tengri "Heaven" (some unique Mongolian vocal techniques). If you were to go back and look at Dimash's "Hello", which was a guest performance on Singer 2018, you would see Hua Chenyu and Tengri watching in the backstage shots. There is also a short video of Jessie J, who was in the wings waiting to go on next, watching the climax of Dimash's song. On the Hua Chenyu eng sub channel there is a short video explaining the emotions behind the song. His best acting was probably on "Dad I'm Home", but much of that is spoken word.

In this show allowed only 2 own songs, but while other contestants just sing in style close to original, Hua rearranged almost all songs I d ask to react his own composed soong 'Qitian' his first appearence in Singer in EP.4 Actually that was recognized as best perfomance of the season

Hua Chenyu is the only singer/songwriter that is so dynamic and vocally intriguing. He becomes the song and his voice is an amazing musical instrument. He is definitely different but in a good way, he is more than a singer he’s an artist who paints a lyrical landscape with his vocals rather than a paintbrush. He is 29. On Singer 2018, came in second to Jessie J. Both he and Dimash came in second, which tells me that is where the best end up on that show. He is extremely talented and creative. Much of his music comes out of his early life like Fake Monk. Recommend Nunchucks, it combines pop, rock, rap and Classical Chinese opera. Also, I Don’t Care, his iconic song.

the final ranking shouldnt matter as anyone who can make it to the finals in this top class 13 episodes long competition of the titans are already champions, and the top in the business. So for the finals , it is just matter of the show agenda n interest that ultimately determine which of the 7 finalists would get the coveted No 1 title at every season. So for the 2018 season that Hua n Jesse J were in, given the show agenda to extend to and attract foreign stars participation and Jessie J was the lst foreign international superstar to positively respond to the participation, any wonder the chinese wouldnt return the favour to her ?

Actually the original was a masterpiece rock song performed by one of China leading rock bands in the 1980s , whose leader Cui Jian wrote the song. Cui Jian is called the godfather of China rock music Hua didnt just do a cover of the song. He totally remade the song into an epic masterpice of performing art which he performed with just a piano. All his other songs in The SInger 2018 and other shows all show the genius in him. Btw , this show is no longer called I am A Singer. It has been renamed simply to The Singer since 2017. So Hua n Jessie J took part in the 2nd season of The Singer in 2018.

Fake Monk to utwór Cui Jiana, klasyka mandaryńskiego rocka, w oryginale brzmi jednak zupełnie inaczej - Hua zazwyczaj aranżuje covery tak, że są na granicy rozpoznawalności, odmienne od pierwowzoru. @@YazikReacts Kiedy przypadkiem odkryłam Dimasha w 2017, zainteresowałam się programem Singer. A w październiku 2017 zaczęłam studia sinologiczne, więc w celu rozwinięcia umiejętności językowych zaczęłam oglądać program :). Hua to jeden z moich ulubionych artystów, jakich tam odkryłam. Ja też mam rockowe zacięcie, a rap polubiłam dzięki niemu ;). Najbardziej imponuje mi jednak jego zdolność do aranżacji i kompozycji, a także sposób, w jaki inkorporuje wokal w melodię. Wyczytałam gdzieś, że Hua uważa swój głos za instrument, nie mniej ani bardziej ważny niż inne w utworze. Nie jest on "najlepszym", najbardziej technicznym piosenkarzem, jakiego znam, ale jest unikalny i świetny z niego muzyk - plus ta sceniczna pewność siebie!

I cannot believe you have by-passed Hua Chenyu, he is one of the most innovative and diverse performers around. You will like all of his performances from the Singer, glad you found one with the lyrics though. I would also recommend Tengri's Heaven and Henry Huo The Trouble with beauty from the same show. The Chinese certainly show TWB how a show should be put on.
