Diana Was only 15 years old in this performance but she undoubtedly has an old soul... The depth of her voice and emotional connection to her performances are probably a direct result of her life experiences. This amazing young talent has a harrowing yet inspirational story. As a child Diana had to endure a tragic and dark past... She has never known her father and her mother was a abusive alcoholic and who gave birth to twelve siblings, of which eight of them died. Her mother neglected her, did not feed her, would beat her, and even tried to kill Diana on at least one occasion. Eventually her mother beat her severely leaving her with a broken collarbone and near death, and abandoned her on the streets in the middle of the night. Upon being found a then three year old Diana was retrieved by relatives. Because the neglected and abused Diana was non verbal they assumed that she was mentally handicapped and they gave her to a nearby orphanage. At the orphanage a nurse cared for her and grew to love little Diana. Later the woman decided to take Diana in and raise her as her own. Her foster mother then put young Diana into singing courses to help develop her speech. Diana blossomed and quickly became proficient at not only speech and music but also dancing, theatrical performance, and many advanced vocalization techniques. It is through the love and care of her foster mother that we are blessed today with Diana's unique talents. It is a truly heart warming and inspiring resolution to a story that started so traumatically. Diana is now 16 years old, known as a National treasure in Russia, and she is on the verge of international stardom. her speaking voice is kinda alto but not near as deep as she can go with her singing voice. She has excellent pitch and incredible larynx control. Diana is young talented orfan who made her way on vocal show "You are super" and owned it! It was winter. They put her in orphanage. She couldn't speak. The woman who worked at the orphanage adopted her. She took her to a singing class she could talk. Раз уж ты можешь читать по-русски, то давай так) Это шоу "Ты Супер" для талантливых сирот, и детей из детских домов, чьих родителей лишили родительских прав. В отличии от шоу Голос, тут все бесплатно для детей. Уроки вокала, сценического искусства, костюмы, оформление сцены - все, что бы помочь раскрыть таланты детей-сирот. Диана в следствии жестокого обращения биологической матери в три годика почти не могла разговаривать. И когда ее удочерили, то врачи посоветовали уроки вокала. И, как я думаю, вся ее жизнь была построена вокруг ее голоса. В то время, когда обычные лети играли с игрушками, Диана играла со своим голосом. И в итоге от борьбы за возможность просто разговаривать, она прошла путь до такого вокала. Даже сейчас по 5 часов вокала в день. Ты думаешь она молодая певица? Но нет, как певица она уже 13 усердно занимается вокалом. Liked and suscribed, waiting for the next diana reaction. "Rechenka" is her masterpiece performance. An old russian wedding ritual song reinterpreted by diana. She born in a humble russian town, her mother had plenity of childs, was an addict, she almost aborted diana, but diana born, her mother misstreated of her so when Diana was 3 years old she was taken from her mother and put in an orphanage, there, a woman who did work in the place created a special bond with diana and adopted her. Diana, because of her trauma, couldnt speak, so a doctor did recomend diana's adoptive and real mother to send her to singing classes, the rest is history. She has a great future and present. This show is a show for kids that had problems with their families, its called "you are super". The first permormance of her in the show was "derniere danse" (2 and a half minute video) a french song, incredible performance also, you could do that next 👍 Anyway great reaction. У нее было очень тяжелое детство. Отца не было, а мать была алкоголичка. Когда Диана была маленькая, мать пыталась ее убить и душила несколько раз. Девочка была в сильном шоке. Superb reaction, Yazik. I like how you were concerned for her well being and hoping that she is being mentored wisely. I have the same concerns. Since you asked, the wall of text below is what I have been able to piece together about her and what I send to people as an intro when I email them links to her performances. Diana Ankudinova is a 16 year old girl (15 at the time of the video) from Far East Russia. There is definitely a witchy, earthy, tribal vibe to Diana when she sings. Horribly abused and then abandoned by her birth mother, she was found wandering the bitter cold streets at the age of 3 all alone and with a broken arm. Authorities placed her in an orphanage for her safety. A woman at the orphanage fell in love with and subsequently adopted her. Her speech was developmentally delayed so severely that professionals suspected permanent damage. Her new mother provided singing lessons as crude form of speech therapy. 12 years later, this is the stunning result. True contraltos are very rare. And I’m not sure who is responsible for the musical arranging but it’s perfect. I’ve seen a lot of good covers of Wicked Game but I never thought any surpassed the original until now. I've watched various vocal coaches react to this and there is some debate on how she's doing what she's doing. If that's her natural voice, it's impressive. If it's a technique, then that would be even more impressive, given her consistency and control. Regardless, they all agree that: 1. Her control (both in chest and falsetto voices) is phenomenal. 2. Her emotive abilities are world class. 3. Her stage presence is enchanting. 4. They have never heard anything like it before. EVER. Her timbre is utterly unique. 5. The most common adjectives used to describe her singing are rich, dark, and most especially "haunting". If you watch and like the video there are a few more of her out there. Rechenka, This Is a Man's World, Human, Blizzard, etc. She is 14-15 in most of them. The thing I love specifically in this song is when she gives you a taste of the deepness up front. I've seen vocal coaches kind of minimize it: "Oh, yeah... dropped larynx. Sounds kinda like Cher." And then she really lets it fly and they are all speechless. Add in the soaring, angelic falsetto, the slides & glides, and the yodels/vibrato, all of it in perfect control and pitch.... she is peerless! My biggest gripe is that I cannot find anywhere to buy her music?

Mate, I have watched a few of your reactions, you do an amazing job of providing us with a friend (knowledgeable) who we can share the music we enjoy with. As recently as a generation ago, music was a shared experience, we played the songs we loved on the "Stereo" and all our friends and family listened, commented, loved hated whatever... together. Music was once highly social, a part of societies story telling toolbox. Now my kids wear headphones, they listen to exactly what they like, and they share it with nobody. If I love this girls performance, I try to play it to them, they walk away with headphones in place. Your channel, while providing a platform for your musical knowledge and professional skill, does something far far more primal, you give us that friend, that greatly missed and highly valued experience, of sharing music with another human being. Yes "rechenka" is another song to react to. This song is a Russian traditional. Diana did a remarkable cover, epic, fascinating, captivating of this song. Diana has so many styles and she sings in so many languages, she has 100s of utube videos and has being doing performances since she was 4. This isnt her real voice. The russians have trained her in stage craft, singing, dancing, acting, comedy, yodelling, master of ceremonies, staging, street performing, costuming. She has been in duos, trios, and her yodelling has allowed her to manipulate her voice. She puts the total performance and telling the story ahead of the singing. Her talent is notable as at age 3 she couldnt talk, she was basically tortured, survived murder attempts, and thrown into the street when she was 3. The last guy to press the button is Igor her mentor, who moved her to moscow to prevent her birth mother from reclaiming her. the last judge to push the button, the bald headed man, is Maestro Igor Krutoy Dimash's partner that joined him to compose several new songs for him and to rework his existing songs. He is also mentoring Diana and even paid for an apartment for Diana and her adoptive family. Please be sure to react to at least her singing Rechenka and Human.
