This song is written by Park hyo shin and Jung jae il. Jung jae il, who is playing the piano in the vedio is PHS's very close friend. Jung jae il is also music director of movie PARASITE, which is won an award at the Cannes Film Festival recently. They wrote together many goodsongs, and my favorite is wildflower, goodbye, sound of winter, breath.

Koreans indeed a genius construing lyrics and songs in terms of this kind of genre. Language barrier may interfere but if you feel the song, it's just like "bro, am I crying?" I've already experienced it so many times. I don't know what kind of "magic" they put to make a song so painful that every single detailed of the song was so fantastic.

He went through a lot for this song... He had/has spasmodic dysphonia (no Idea if that's the correct term) he was in constant debt and lawsuits and lost a very good friend.. This song is how he dealt with all of it. He truly has an amazing voice and the emotions can be felt through screen and sound.

I will borrow words from one of his fans: The song is about all his struggles in life. His close friend, who he even called brother, committed suicide. His label didn't pay him anything for a long time, so he didn't have a chance to rent a studio to even practice. His agency forced him to perform very often with little to no rest, he collapsed many times and finally fell really sick and even got spasmodic dysphonia(issues with vocal cords that make them spasm and unable to produce proper sound). Because he didn't perform after that, his agency sued him for breach of contract, he had to pay 3 billion won, which is roughly 3 million USD and had to file for bankruptcy. I'm not completely sure, but I heard he was even forced to sell his house with all the belongings to pay up, it was a court order.This was all while he was serving in the military, which is mandatory for all Korean males, it lasts for 2 years.

A totally mesmerised audience. Not a single sound. He did write this hand in hand with the pianist - this song means a lot to him which is why he was so emotional. He is perhaps one of the best Korean male artists out there. Always makes me cry.

I read Park Hyo shin been in the business I think around 19 years. He had a falling out with his management company they abused him until he collapsed on stage and then they sued him into bankruptcy. So this was his Comeback song that he composed with his partner on the piano. I heard that the song is about his relationship with his music career and coming back to it. It's so hard when you have something that you love so dearly and it's taken away from you unfairly.

Found your reaction to one of my fave korean solo singers.. His voice is art!! He's one of the well known singers in korea that has low, deep voice. You should check out his other songs, breath, snow flower. Please also check Kyuhyun's , the main vocalist of an idol group, Super Junior, performances on King of Masked singer (you can search with keywords kyuhyun jini king of masked singer). He's the 1st male idol to win 5 consecutive times on the show. He once did a cover for wild flower in King of Masked Singer several years ago. Sadly, he lost.. Thank you for reacting to this..

As a Korean (just my opinion) Park Hyo-shin is a singer who is divided between likes and dislikes in Korea. Because his singing style and vibrations are too old. But most Koreans think highly of his singing skills.
