the film is based on a story written by Dimash with his own screenplay. (I worked on this piece for 3 years). Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. When he becomes a commander, the opponent carries the idea of saving the war: the young boy who presents the tokens of friendship he made will marry the girl (Dimash). She will give birth. A baby girl (murdered) and a mother waiting for another baby. Hello firends! Thank you for your sincere reaction! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!😢 Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace and harmony, through his music, MVs and many charities he dedicates his time to. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was made by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The Piper grew up and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from her mother…, they were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim, Shepard or Wise Man at the end of the video was Dimash’s newborn son, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. Dimash took 3 years to create this. He wrote it. He was producing and directing. He composes a lot of music. He has a PhD in composition as well as other degrees. He sings in 14 languages. He plays 7 instruments. Has a red belt in Taekwondo. Sings in many genres. He is a passionate humanitarian, a Kazakh Patriot , and someone who does much to help children and babies. Dimash is not just a singer on a level of his own, he has enormous depth, is wise far beyond his years and is a role model in many ways. Like he always says: "we are not in this world to be singers, but to be good humans in the first place". He lives by high moral values and standards. He's humble, respectful, attentive, grateful,... If you'd watch back stage video's and fancams, you always see him helping elder or vulnerable people, protect people, help them get up if they fell down, give away his seat, doing a lot of charity work, really loving and respecting others. His personality is incredible. It's a privilige to be alive, to be able to witness this being and to strive to become a better person because of the light he shines in this dark world. Thank you for your reactions. 3 necklaces. The symbol is the gnomon, which is the main part of a sundial. The older boy bends his and you can see that he has lost his way when he becomes the commander. The boy who makes the necklaces becomes the soldier (Dimash) and is married to the girl from the beach, who is now pregnant and the little girl is their daughter. The soldier kills his old friend the commander and then is killed in turn. His wife gives birth and dies at the same time that her husband dies and the baby is born. Her symbol is on the baby who becomes the leader in the robe at the end. A magnificent and brilliant masterpiece in all ways by Dimash. He performed this for the conference on religions and the Pope gave Dimash a medal of gold.

This is the story as I see it. It’s the story of three childhood friends who are all joined by the symbol of the necklace. Dimash as a child saves the other boy who became the dictator (The boy who saved the boy from drowning is really tall, so that gives us the clue that he is the boy who is Dimash) Dimash married the girl from his childhood, they have a daughter who was killed in the war. Dimash kills his childhood friend, (the dictator) who he saved from drowning when they were children. The Dictator’s soldier’s kill Dimash. Dimash’s wife gives birth to their son, his father’s necklace is passed down to him. It’s Dimash’s son at the end leading all people and all religions to peace (Throughout the video when Dimash is singing in a Middle Eastern style, that’s flash forward to the future, where the people are being led by Dimash’s son.)

@@suedouglas5455 The tall boy is the commander. Look at the mole on his right cheek. Dimash's character is the drowning boy who made the necklaces and who the girl chose over the taller boy. The taller boy is miffed about it and when the smaller boy gives him the necklace, he bends it in his hand. You can see that same symbol when the commander opens his hand and shows the bent gnomon symbol. The symbol is the gnomon which is the main part of the sundial. He holds it upside down and the insignia is also this way on the uniforms. He has lost his way and has developed a warped belief in war and peace. Dimash is not only singing in Eastern style but he sings chants from several religions. It is not all from the same source. Just as there are multiple representatives of many religions struggling up towards the light. As to the baby, I kind of think that he may be 3 things when grown into the robed man: 1)the soldier/maker of the necklaces/father of the girl that was killed/husband to the beach girl grown (who gives birth to the baby & dies in childbirth). 2) the soldier/boy who made the necklaces reincarnated into his newborn son 3) Dimash. He looks directly into the camera as he pulls the hood up and gives the tiniest of smiles. It is as if he is saying to us: I am telling you this story to give you the message. I am trying to lead you all towards peace with this work of art. Notice that the people who were trekking up the mountain stop and stand still as they face the light. These are the same people who follow Dimash when he turns and starts walking. They are the same, not 20 yrs older (which would be the case if it was the baby/son grown up). It is like the soldier (Dimash), the baby/son, and the creator of this piece (Dimash) all rolled into one.

@@michaelleahy6848 Well, they show the baby and focus on the symbol (gnomon) and that transitions to the adult robed Dimash's symbol, so it looks like the baby is the same as the man. I'm kind of the belief that the soldier (Dimash) dies and reincarnates to the baby - his son, but yet I also think that it is Dimash himself at the end combined with all of the characters that died. He looks right at the camera and gives a tiny smile as he pulls his hood up. I think that he is telling us that the whole piece is about leading away from war, towards peace and light and life, and that he is leading us with this story, this creation, these characters. Notice that all the ones struggling up the mountain stop and look towards the light and then the dead soldier screams 'WE are choosing life' 7 times before his body dies, the mother dies from childbirth and the baby is born with the symbol. He wants us to follow him as all of the rest do once Dimash is at the front to lead. It is a masterpiece. It has provoked more conversation and thought than any other video that I'm aware of.

“We’re choosing life”. The scream - which none of us had heard previously - precluded “rebirth” through his son (the shepherd at the end). Dimash performed this before the video was released for a religious conference involving the Pope and other leaders. He also performed live at a concert in Kazakhstan with some of the video. (Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service) Story: That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. (Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service) Story: The clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character and his 2 friends are linked in eternal friendship through childhood stories and a symbol (necklace). One day, the friend saves the protagonist when he is drowning. However, there is already competition in this children's story as the boys are in love with the girl and she chooses 'Dimash'. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work. The second experiences a kind of nervous breakdown and transfers the children's problems into the world of adult totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming President, the antagonist (Piper - in reference to the 'Pied Piper of Hamelin') carries within himself the idea of a war to save: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We will guide all who are ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no business with us. I choose freedom. The world is open to me and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Thank you for reacting to this outstanding MV. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But indispensable and simply indescribable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. Dimash was the littel boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. And she gave birth to her second child in the video. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby (and not the dead Dimash walking in afterlife) that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace (look at the desription on dimashnews). These are my views on this amazing masterpiece The Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. This video needs to be shown worldwide. Dimash doesn't have perfect English and adds S at the end of some words, even in French. Some different reactors had come up with very strange ideas about the symbolism, running wild in my opinion. Making it fit their religious and political views.

When Dimash premiered this song at his concert he gave a speech prior to singing the song. I think that speech is important and gives context to the song and story: "Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much. We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents. And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation. He sings this live too. The live versions tend to have some of the video only parts shortened but all the vocal parts are there! That "Om" on an E2 after some crazy high belting, so impressive. I highly recommend that you both react to Dimash playing his composition of "Story of One Sky" on the piano. Also his "live" concert version is proof that he is indeed the best singer in the world.
