Taeyeon is my pride. When my friends make jokes about kpop i will show them either SNSD or Taeyeon live concert performance. That will shut them up 🤣🤣🤣. No one can deny how talented they are. They are the perfect package in kpop. From visuals to vocals to dancing skills even to synchronisation in choreography 😊😊. My perfect group my perfect soloist 😘😘

She used more her chest voice when young but it was hard for her to hit those high notes. (She's a mezzosoprano ?) I understood that she damaged her voice in TTS concept. After that she has changed her singing more on the mixed and head voice. Lost some power but gained agility and easier reach for those high notes without damaging her voice. She also has reached such versatility and control over her voice and different styles that I think is quite unique. I think that's why I'll never get tired of her singing. I can listen her over and over again and its only getting better and better over the time. That's amazing. I dont know any other singer that I can listen endlessly, enjoying her voice in the same song every single time. It has something to do with her ability to vary her tone naturally all the time. And her attitude towards her music and her songs. I actually don't know what it is... magic? But she really is something very very special.

Using more chest voice to hit high notes is hard not just for her but singers in general. What it is is she's learned how to adjust the ratio of chest voice and head voice when mixing to reach those high notes. As she's gotten older, she's definitely learned how to mix based on how high the notes is and added a lot to her arsenal especially in terms of agility and dynamics which gave us a lot of interesting sounds that always keep us coming back for more.

I think her turning point was during the Tokyo dome concert or maybe Holler era when her age was 26. She overused her voice during that time and her voice became husky, which I love. And she gradually changed her vocal style. I honestly miss her chesty voice and deep vibrato she used in her debut era. But it's hard to hit high note while dancing, and she seemed to have difficulty singing sustainably using her chest voice. I understand her. She has developed a severe case of rhinitis and sings with a nasal voice, as you can tell from Rain's clips from when she was 28. As she said in one interview, she now uses her voice flexibly, and at a fan meeting in Korea two years ago she actually sang in the chesty voice she used in her debut era. She has become a great artist who can adapt to any song or genre after more than 15 years of research and evolution of her voice. I love her so much!!!

Same! I also found her husky voice the best version of her however, it's unhealthy. I want a sustainable Taeyeon who still can sing til forever. But man, I missed her chesty high notes like in COMPLETE.

Jessica has said that the other members voted her out; the other members have never said anything at all about it, and SM-entertainment issued a statement that it was because her business was causing conflicts with SNSD's schedule. I never noticed any conflicts, the girls seemed heart broken that Jessica was gone, and it certainly wasn't Jessica's decision. It seems to me that it was all SM's decision, but until the girls have 'permission' to talk about it, I don't think we ever really will know.

I discovered Girls' Generation in 2010, and since then I've naturally started listening to Taeyeon's music. Taeyeon sings so many songs that it takes a lot of time to dig into them. Up until then, I had listened to a lot of different genres (I didn't know much about Jazz, but I liked classical music), but I especially liked rock, and I loved the sound of bands. Therefore, rock vocalists such as Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ian Gillan, Ronnie James dio, and Jon Bon Jovi were favorites. However, ever since I listened to Girls' Generation and Taeyeon, I've been hooked on them. Their singing, dancing, and characters are the best! I think the live performance of Christina Aguilera's 'Come On Over Baby', which the members of Girls' Generation covered when they were young, is amazing, so please give it a listen. I got chills everytime I hear Taeyeon sings - such a little girl but with a golden voice, it is always a satisfying listening experience. She has amazing techniques and control as you said, and her high notes are well developed. You can tell from the start of her career that she is a singer first and foremost. And she can express the emotions of the songs very well. All those 4th and 5th gen idols should really line up and take a vocal lesson from her.

One thing about Taeyeon is, she grows with her voice. She knows that her voice will never be the same as when she was 16. But the fact that she found her range, tried every genre that anyone could ever imagine and most importantly she have mastered voice control without compromising QUALITY shows how great of an artist she is. And don't get me started with EMOTIONS because she ain't known for "A WOMAN WHO WENT THROUGH DIVORCE 9 TIMES" for nothing.

Taeyeon will forever my ultimate bias in KPOP. Attending her solo concert will forever be a core memory of mine. Just listening to her voice heals me so much.
