Hey, I',m not afraid to spend some money on this, but what would be an estimate given that you can assess the voice and the techniques that I can do right now, on how much lessons one needs to get the training routine done correctly. My background is that I am a hobby musician so I sing often and can at least understand the theory behind it but when I do some practices I have real issues to judge if its really my resonance that is changing and if so, is it enough or too cartoonish and so on.

Hi! It really depends on the person, but if you already have a handle on some things, it could take as few as 3 or 4 lessons or up to 6 months. I know that's not a satisfying answer, but it's a tough one without hearing you! :) I'd love to meet with you!

I’m a SLP currently giving gender affirming therapy and as a woman of color I understand your comment, but the dialectal and cultural aspects of our voice are detailed factors and have been trained for years, look at this video as the foundation of voice feminization & not the detailed breakdown that individuals will seek.

Why would someone need to affirm a gender? Its actually "try to sound like the opposite sex".
@BrennanYoung Жыл бұрын
voice is not merely a matter of biology, it is also social, therefore: gender
@1888CHAD8881 Жыл бұрын
@BrennanYoung So gender and Biology are totally separate? Ok... what science explains gender then?
@BrennanYoung Жыл бұрын
@@1888CHAD8881 they are not totally separate. Gender is originally a grammatical concept. Many languages have more than two genders. Sometimes the genders have nothing to do with sex. (e.g. "animate/inanimate") - it's a linguistic category. Later used in anthropology to describe behavior, routines, ritual which is *connotative* of biological sex.
