Thank you @ralphmellor1909, @user-wy7xv8cj2u, @NancyHole, and @aixmhros for suggesting this! As you may have noticed I went in order and reacted first to Lara's original (or at least the first one with lyrics) and only then to Dimash's performance.

👍😍This may well be the last reaction by a reactor I see before I switch to more or less entirely offline living for a while. I couldn't be happier than that it's you reacting to this performance by Dimash. First experiencing Lara's incomparably beautiful original. Then "Ow, wow, nuts, insane, keeping everyone awake, a stunning performance of a totally different song" -- and with facial expressions to match. 💯🔥😂

Dimash always leaves me breathless. It was enjoyable to watch your facial reactions while listening to this song. Thank you for the breakdown of the differences in the style of singing between Dimash and Lara Fabian. I did love her version of this song as well. Dimash said that he has been a fan and admirer of Lara ever since he was a child.

Thank you so much! I'm not a music expert, I'm just describing what I hear with my ordinary human ears, in plain English. Glad that we seem to be hearing the same things. 😊 I do know they respect each other. Makes sense, as they are both amazing singers.

I totally agree with you Aleks; Dimash has to take the song to his field, even more so in a contest where he must show his vocal abilities (Which for me are unique); but it is also true that while one takes us to a euphoric creshendo, the other wraps it in a wonderfully pleasant emotion that floods your soul. As far as I'm concerned both They take us to different places. Always with technical complexity and elegance. Thank you for your reaction and sensitivity.

Lara and Dimash both are great singers and you cannot compare them. I love that Dimash when covering a song and makes it his own. Check out Hello by Lionel Ritchie or Opra 2 by Vitas that Dimash covers.

👉 For non musicians: The language of music is Italian. Adagio is an Italian word and is used in music to denote tempo, meaning: 'calm', 'slow'. In this song, adagio roughly means: If it is to be, then it will be. The interpretation of the song by Dimash is brilliant. He touches my heart and soul ... every time. The shaking of his head and the trembling of the chin has nothing to do with the vibrato. It just goes to show that Dimash can be a little nervous and tense too. It was about a lot. In the previous episode 5 (Uptown Funk) he knocked everyone out of their seats, but still only took a back seat. Either he won now or he would go home. Of course, Dimash won Episode 6. 'Adagio in g minor' - today, known as one of the most popular compositions of classical music; composed of alleged fragments of Tomaso Albinoni's; in 1958, joined together by Remo Giazotto (* 4. Sept. 1910; † 26. Aug. 1998 - Italian musicologist, music critic, and composer). Camilo Sesto wrote 1985 the original lyrics in Spanish to this piece. Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics in Italian and English. Composers Rick Allison, Dave Pickell and Lara Fabian arranged the piece into a pop song. Since then, this song has been part of Lara Fabian's repertoire. * Lara Fabian, *1970, is a fantastic Belgian-Canadian pop singer and songwriter. She has sold over 20 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling Belgian artists of all time. In 2017, she returned permanently to Montreal, Quebec, to be with her family. At the age of eight she studied for 10 years at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. She is classical trained, speaks 6 languages and sings in 13 languages. Her albums have been awarded gold and platinum in the whole world. Lara is a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child Dimash wanted to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and for Dimash the dream came true of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoy in 2019. They sang: 'Ti Amo Cosi / I Love You So' - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpK0d5mneJifpLc * Dimash - Adagio - The Singer 2017 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2WUfJSclpZnqNE * Dimash - Closing Ceremony of New Wave in Sochi, Sept.2018 (No faulty microphone) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJbSeaOtbrmFn9E * Dimash Adagio - Gala Concert ''Slavic Bazaar'' 2018 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGHJhXihbtlsmK8 * Baroque piece, Albinoni´s famous Adagio - Hauser-Adagio - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZ-UmJagqs2fnsk * Lara Fabian - Adagio - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHzXf6iCfJqdd9E * Trio (Lara, Aida Garifullina, Dimash) -'Ti Amo Cosi / I Love You So' - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpK0d5mneJifpLc * Dimash - Mademoiselle Hyde - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4OsgHyfi7Gof80 * Lara Fabian - Mademoiselle Hyde - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqa2dZegipmGbq-q=hCyej7qrwWY * Dimash Qudaibergen (Rehearsal) + Aida Garifullina - ADAGIO - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6C5inuFftChia8 (two performances in one video) (Thanks to all Dears who helped to complete the information)

Random comment, but I haven't heard this in a long time and so it made me notice how much his English has improved. I still don't know that I love the last part of this particular performance. For some reason it does sound more yell-y than my ears can appreciate. Nonetheless, I think he's a superb talent, a total unicorn, and I do love all his other Lara covers, especially Love of Tired Swans. He certainly does her justice. There are certain moments when you can see Lara coming through him, and not just during covers. It's quite extraordinary. Lovely reaction. I knew you would be able to contrast them without comparing. Too many people get caught up in that instead of just appreciating what each one brings to the song. We can even have our favorite, or not like one at all, without getting into mean comparisons.
@AleksReacts
@AleksReacts 3 күн бұрын
Thank you so much, Elizabeth! ❤ If a cover is done well, it's done well. It can sound exactly the same as the original which is a skill in itself, or completely different, which is an art. Either way, as long as it doesn't grate on the ears or ruins the song, each one has its worth. Dimash always brings something different to a cover and whether it's pleasing to someone or not, it cannot be denied that he has a huge talent. Now this is going to be random. 😂 Personally, I am not a fan of the "moaning" covers that were popular at some point. You know the ones that slow down the song where singers tend to whisper and moan rather than sing. Then again, some people like that... I noticed the same thing you did, as I first heard his Smoke (done a lot later than this) and this one came later on for me. His English is much better now, although I understand he was learning the lyrics for Adagio in one week.

Strange as it may sound, I didn’t immediately accept this version. For me, it was initially over the top. Before Dimash, I couldn't stand singers screaming. But he taught me to appreciate and enjoy this technique when it's done professionally.

Hello again Elena! ❤ As Lara's version was the first one I listened to, this caught me off guard as well. However, when I stopped comparing them in my mind, this one clicked in place. Screaming does sound different when it's just yelling vs. using a proper technique to guide the voice, so I know what you mean.

Dimash's cover blows me away every time I hear it. Musicality, performance, passion! But it introduced me to Lara, and Lara's singing of it, and her many other songs. She too blows me me away every time. I yearn for, love, and want to be loved as much by, my lover. Again it's musicality, performance, passion -- but Lara's! Utterly different experiences; mood chooses which will slay me on any given night. 💖🎼✅

Dear Aleks, Thanks for your reaction. My thouhgt on both: Dimash is a rollercoaster, a feast, but something to see from a distance. A superstar. Lara is more like a hug. Like a friend who is talking to you, tells you a story. And that in a way like she is telling it for the first time. She's more close, intimate, as if she is talking to you alone. But she is also a superstar. Can't wait what you have to say about Lara and Johnny with Requiem pour un Fou for 80.000 in Stade de France. A big concert, but also intimate (for a differnt reason).😍

Adagio [aˈdaːdʒo] ("G" pronunced as in "judge") is the slow part of a musical composition. The idea of the song is that he keeps waiting and hoping while everything seems to go slowly as in an adagio played on a piano. Cover of the great singer and song writer Lara Fabian´s song Lara Fabian Adagio-(Live) From Lara With Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHzXf6iCfJqdd9E It is based on Adagio in G minor written by Remo Giazotto but he attributed it to Albinoni. 4:34 That lady absolutely represents me: had to hold my head to avoid it to explode
