Man, looking back at this song, I think about all of the events that led up to that point. The reveal of ND, your most beloved comrades falling dead left and right, having to sacrifice two of the best girls in the game to defeat ND. That, and hearing Mio die on comms, the voice acting there was just heartbreaking. Made the beginning vocals hit harder than a truck. And the fact I absolutely wiped the floor with the boss confirmed how much of a monster we had become, like ND wanted. We were becoming a True Dragon, and nothing could have us escape that fate. Definitely a heavy game for me to play. And worth every second!
