Oh my god, robert impressed me so much, i took my shity mic and went recording my own vocals. And the crowd there is so sad and souless that their legs dance no more!! Bah look at me 3 am in the morning here and im dancing around the chair being happy to get scraps off the internet and to get me inspired and help me a bit understand how it works. Man i hope robert isn't offended sharing his knowledge and live improvisation whille getting a feedback like that. Someone should give him a hand. :D!!

+Nutek Beatz Only the Main output is hot not the vocal channel itself so vocal itself is not affected, just the output signal which is not being recorded. Classic "Im in a hurry" error which luckily doesnt affect the song.. U can see it in the waveforms, they look cool, not cut of at the top

Offer it as promotional competition and get a few people in who love to be there, it would make for a far better video and a great promo for PB.. Just a thought.

guess what your answer is poor but i will not go for it! and hey i know they guy so you never know who you with on youtbe ;) anyway if you post a masterclass education video and your recording chain is clipping red as it does... at least you have to edit your video better.... this is home recording quality...i tell you straight so you can learn from that mistake instate of arguing where is nothing to safe... ask any engineer if you believe me but this has nothing to do with professional recoding

I have to agree with VillaVienne. Although I really appreciate your efforts with this series, this vid is embarassing. Raffertie had the master clipping for the entire vid, eventually dropped all the levels enough that it messed with the mix that Owens was used to, and then let them eventually start overloading the master again. Also: Input monitoring - turn it on. Monitoring for the audience?! WHY? This vid should be called "How to make an amazing singer give a lousy performance".

There are points in this video where i actually felt extremely uncomfortable by the emotionless, awkward looks on the students faces, which then transferred onto Robert & Raffertie's faces at times. My god, if i was sitting in a room with THE Robert Owens and learning those kind of tips from him in person, i would have a cheshire cat grin, ear to ear, for the whole 42 minutes. Amazing lack of energy from those students, doesnt seem as if they have any intention of using any of what they heard.

the only master in that room is robert! masterclass recording without pre amp, clipping vocals, recoding superhot without knowing that logic noise floor is 20db more then any console... floating point will not help you out on a recording level as well the routing and the headphone mix is a joke... you hear his addlipps clipp the heck out of youtube! but anyway thats where the masters are... lol very poor performance

masterclass??? u must be kiddin... robert the legend and the dude who has no idea of recording vocals... first of all you have to direct out the monitor to the vocalist and never leave the output of the recoding chain on. thats why its called headphone mix as well avoid latency ;-) second you record way to hot! and third wich is really dissapointing this legend, why the heck are lettimg him hear his voice twice?!? really poor performance from the due on his laptop! you area a teacher? lol
