@zanazans She has some self-restraint, but she does get stir-crazy. Meanwhile, Marisa can "play" with her and not break, and there are various others in Gensokyo who can provide her with entertainment and not "break" as long as she abides by the Spellcard rules (meaning no using her haxxed destruction power to blow them up instantly, just pure danmaku play). Being able to vent helps her a lot which may be why she's been supposedly mellowing out lately (according to PMiSS anyway).

@zanazans She's definitely chaotic neutral. While she has some measure of self-control she can still be erratic and her periods of erratic behavior are hard to predict. Fun fact. She has been sheltered for much of her life, so much so that the blood she eats is actually mixed in with the normal food she eats! This is another version of the song I named prior, like a second theme, basically the song with lyrics pretty much. Though you have to check out U.N. @zanazans She definitely isn't evil. In fact, this song probably exagerrates her mental instability (as much of the fanon does). She is sane enough to realize that her lack of control over her power is a threat to others, so she willingly stays shut up in the basement. She has moments where she goes stir crazy enough that she forces her way out, but they just have Patchy summon rain to keep her confined to the mansion, and she is supposedly getting better after "playing" with Marisa.

If I may point a sum of things about "evil" - Evil is born from the lack of knowledge. Insanity, however, deflects this since the person, or in this case creature (Flandre), has no knowledge of what is morally good or bad. That doesn't qualify Flandre as "evil" unless stated so by ZUN.
