VOCALIST FIRST TIME HEARING ARTMS VIRTUAL ANGEL! HOW DO THEY STACK UP TO LOONA?

This song is so beautiful and this whole album is amazing. We've gone through time so quickly this week, with the members about 7-8 years older than they were when we first met them. But at least they have their names in the subtitles in case you wouldn't recognise them 😂 And here they're back under the guidance and creative designs of Jaden Jeong who started it all. And this group has most of the major vocalists from LOOΠΔ: HeeJin, HaSeul, and ODD EYE CIRCLE basically :p HaSeul's part at 2:40 just gives me life ♥ The flash warning for the MV wasn't for nothing; and it's good that they released the "human eye" version that has a lot less flashing; but they've said the song is about the relationship between idols and fans (obviously down to the unhealthy aspects of it) and I think what they were going for in the music video was blend these two realities of the fans and the idols to show how these fans get detached from their reality and get lost in this fantasy. It's a really cool concept even if it's not too easy on the eyes 😅 For more ARTMS, definitely check out _Air Force One_ next, it had just the 3 OEC members but it was the first thing they released under the ARTMS project, and they really enjoyed bringing back ODD EYE CIRCLE 7 years after their original unit. The intro to their the OEC mini album also has snippets from the old OEC songs (not all of which you've heard) which was just so cool to hear as a fan. oh no.. you might want to watch the 'human eye' version lol. I love this song with how ethereal the vocals are versus how hard the music goes (in a way that definitely has a harsher edge than the d&b trend that's going around). to me this is a return to a loona sound. i was trying to think about what i consider to be a loona sound and i settled on that it's mysterious. anyway i ended up choosing this as my favourite of 2024 given that when i listened to my shortlist, especially with lyrics attached, it made me tear up.. especially considering what the members have gone through

I thought that this was a return to the sound i was expecting as well! Is there a difference between the Human eye and this one? This one is your favorite? I could see that, there is a lot of upside to this song.

@@Killdeer25 The human eye version is a bit easier to watch because they got rid of all the crazy flashing. Looking back at my previous #1 songs, they're usually either the song I obsessively replayed the most or something from an ult group. This one is surprisingly neither (Wife would be my obsessive replay song of the year). But even though Loona/ARTMS aren't an ult group, I guess the sentimentality of their return got to me anyway. Plus Infinite, Gfriend/Viviz and AKB48 didn't release anything quite good enough for the top spot. (By the way GFriend's 10th anniversary song is out! I think the MV is kind on the cheap/low energy side (typical Source Music ugh - this comeback has been a shambles), but their music show stages were great, especially Inkigayo (for me). I potentially have some news on the getting to see their 10th anni concert front too....)

I love this song so much. It sounds like a Barbie car on acid. One of my fav kpop releases from last year. Their other track Birth was also so unique and the animation in the mv is wild.

I love this song so much but watching this MV for the first time was certainly an experience. I was still half asleep and they hadn't put up the seizure warning yet so i had no idea what I was in for! I'm used to it now but I actually thought I might hurl at first.

This is gorgeous. Definitely feels more mature and I appreciate that. I would love to hear more form them too. Also, unrelated but because of the Artemis theme, I don't know if you ever did Taeyeon's (SNSD) solo INVU? I recommend that because this is also the first ARTMS song I've heard and so I can't recommend any for them.

@ Honestly I haven’t checked out her newest stuff. Except I watched her Heaven mv and it made me kinda squeamish and looked like it was reusing props from NCT Dream’s Smoothie mv. But I swear SM reuses props from all their artists mvs and I guess recycling is good right? 😅 INVU is a couple years old. I was just reminded of it because she plays Artemis in the mv. And it’s my favourite Taeyeon song, maybe one of my favourite kpop songs.

Such a fantastic song and these girls were fabulous in concert. The whole album is great 😁 I don't watch the video too much though. It's a bit too much for my brain. Birth is probably the next song you want to check out.
