R.I.P. sweet Amy 💔 she was burying her broken heart😢 The headstone read 'Here Lies The Heart Of Amy Winehouse', but it was removed after her sudden death. This song got me thru so many dark times.....she had that incredibly unique gift of being able to connect with those who were in pain - her lyrics, her music but combine that with her amazing voice and you have a LEGENDARY artist....gone far too soon....this world & fame was too much for her to cope with. She battled bulimia in her teens/20's, alcoholism/drug addiction in her 20's and the scumbag of a husband that destroyed her (‘Back To Black’ is about him).....he was so toxic, but tragically she paid the price for loving him. Listen to ‘Love is A Losing Game’, ‘You know I'm No Good’, ‘Rehab’ and a couple of covers - ‘To Know Him Is To Love Him’: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaDLi6BnfNh0hdk or Donny Hathaway's 'I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know': kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWeVe3Soq810p8k mesmerising, haunting and such emotive vocals...basically what she did best.....singing was like breathing to Amy ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤 Here’s the trailer to ‘Amy’ - a documentary of the highs and lows of her life and how it ended. Heart-breaking is an understatement: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWPcdHytorOogqc

@@PemisCorner - Yeah, anyone who reacts to Amy by listening to studio versions really isn't doing her justice lol. This girl would make up new melodic rhythm on the spot every single time she performed live, she never ad-libbed more than the same way once. A genuine jazz prodigy.

@@PemisCorner you should check out the 2004 North Sea Jazz festival. In my opinion, it is her finest recording. Her ad libs and scatting are incredible. She never sang a song the same way twice.

I discover her when I went to England for the first time at 14years old ... I was in front a small tv screen to watch her first Grammy awards (she won three that day) she sing and my brain just say to me : “whao! I want to eat more of her voice!” I came back to France and ask to my mom to buy her album ...

It really isn’t. It’s about her holding a mock funeral for the relationship that’s just ended, because her irl partner - Blake Fielder-Civil - went back to his previous girlfriend, leaving Amy to go ‘back to black’. The black being drinking, depression, darkness. It is not about death at all.
@KindCountsDeb37733 жыл бұрын
@@elvisleeboy Yes, that's the vibe. That he left and she went back to black- that dark hole of depression. The box buried is her Heart.
