@@tavellcoopsno yeah that’s literally what they’ve done for ages now, they just use the same samples as their last vocaloid releases and edit them to shit a little more each time and to the person who said the vps’ age is a factor, even the oldest two (meiko haigo and naoto fuuga) sound basically the same as they did when they last took samples. if crypton waits too much longer, they eventually _will_ sound different, so idk why they’re so allergic to getting new samples from them while they can

@@Lemieux_channel that is definitely something i thought about! if i had the money, i would buy every voicebank and plug it into the same tuned file so that it's a more direct comparison. i tried my best to pick SP covers with tuning quality similar to the original songs so that people would judge the quality of the voicebanks instead of the quality of the tuning. but another thing is that (in my opinion) if you have to mess with settings just to get meiko to sound like meiko... then thats already an issue 🫣

I wanted SP to sound like V1... V1 is in my opinion KAITO's best voice, he could reach different tones and convey different feelings with just one voicebank. Exactly. Also the main reason why its reminding people of UTAU ports of vocaloid voicebanks is because of the absolute horrible engine noise found in the sp voicebanks and the engine used to render them. Everything is just worse quality. Engine noise can sometimes give personality and a beautiful mechanical feel to a voicebank (see Yokune Ruko KIRE) but this is not what is expected from voicebanks that should be top quality from literally the biggest vocaloid company in the game. It doesn't fit the voices and just makes it seem even more like they put zero effort towards actually making this shit sound good.

Kaito SP sounds the best in my opinion. He sounds like he has wine corks shoved deep up his nostrils, but he has a strong tone. He’s salvageable. Lukas A’s sound so muffled no matter how shes tuned sadly, same with Meiko, i saw a user say they think Piapro made this new voice engine software with only Miku in mind.the others just being there by association, which explains miku sounding the best out of all the voicebanks, The engine adds a nasal vowel sound to help fill the voice samples provided. her voice is more nasal compared to Luka and Meiko, which in contrast have strong clear vowel sounds. Lol when the 2013 melt came on I immediately knew it was cilia’s tuning, so good!! edit: it also should not be compared too much to the 2024 one, after all the tuning is a completely different one. But yeah, NT is uh. Some like it, some really hate it. I‘m indecisive.

Cant edit for some reason so I‘m replying: I wrote NT because it sound like her NT, but apparently this line is a completely new release. I see.
