The characters were reborn, yes, but as people in the ‘Fourth Period’ in which they were represented by vocaloids, and not the actual vocaloids. We can tell they aren’t because in ‘South North Story’ we have two rins, which wouldn’t make sense.

Interesting fact: Miku’s character, Michaela, wasn’t a ruler, just a common girl. That was a mistranslation. Plus, Kaito (Prince Kyle Marlon) and Rin (Princess Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche) were engaged and Kaito broke off the engagement to pursue Miku, who didn’t even have romantic feelings for him. She liked her best friend, Yowane Haku (Clarith). The songs are in a very different perspective if you read the story and I find that really fascinating! Not critiquing or bashing, just thought it was an interesting bit of trivia.

It actually refers to Rilliane, or ‘rin’. Rilliane was possessed by the demon of Pride, and if you look at the original lyrics (not the jubyphonic cover cuz it’s mistranslated) it says: ‘The evil flower, sweetly blooms’ ‘With brilliant colour’ ‘The pitiful weeds around her,’ ‘Will turn to nourishment and rot away.’ Key word: ‘her’ in the second line. Her is a singular pronoun, and obviously refers to the ‘Evil Flower’ aka Rilliane. I recommend you watch Mario GaGabriels PV if you want to see the (more) accurate version of the story; and use subs.

The Story of Evil (悪ノ物語 Aku no Monogatari), or more commonly known as The Daughter of Evil series (悪ノ娘 Aku no Musume) is a series of songs made by Akuno-P. The series is composed of eight songs surrounding the epitome of Vanity of the Seven Deadly Sins Series. Many of the songs were included in the album Evils Kingdom.
