Aoyama met all of the other Class 1A Students in Season 1 of the My Hero Academia anime, and he disappeared during the USJ arc giving us clues that this would be his fate, however in the U.A Traitor arc that takes place after MHA Season 6, tears will fall at U.A High.

Deku was never a hero and never will be, his motivations are actually very selfish.......he wants people to look at him at all times and view him as the sole symbol of justice. He always needs an audience, if all might literally didn't succumb to Deku's pathetic whining.........deku would never have attempted to try to be a hero in his own right. Until he was given OFA, he'd never trained or prepared a day in his life and that is the core of who deku really is, he never attempted to even try until he was given everything freely, despite all that he tends to never actually train consistently or hard to actually make the best possible version of himself, plot armor and convenience are what brings out his powers that make no sense for him to have in the first place.

Aoyama can’t catch a break… - AFO threatens to kill him and his family if he doesn’t obey - His entire community and support system (school and friends) hate him (or at least he thinks they do) - The quirk it was all for is pretty crappy (especially with how he can’t use it without negative side effects) Not to mention: - All of it being forced upon him at birth by his parents. He couldn’t do anything to avoid it. And: - Learning that Deku was quirkless like him, but was given a better opportunity.

Aoyama is tragic because he genuinely wanted to make connections with his classmates but his personality and demeanor prevented others from trying to connect with him. On a lighter note, in MHA School Briefs Volume 2, there’s a story where on the bus ride to the training camp Aoyama gets a stomach ache and the class tries some activities together to help distract him to ease him.

Izuzku and Aoyama being similar is honestly pretty superficial. Aoyama didn’t have a choice in the matter, his parents were the ones that made a deal with the devil just so their son wouldn’t be discriminated against and he was forced to pay the price. Refusal would’ve ended with him and his family killed. Meanwhile, Izuku was stupid lucky to run into All Might and was given the choice to inherit one of the best quirks in the world.

From the comments AFOs younger brother made about Shiggy „is this your new vessel“, it really seems like AFO has done stuff like this before and like the younger brother is keeping quite a bit of info to himself. There is simply no way super genius AFO, a person with a severe god complex would just be a villain because of a comic book he read. Aoyama later brings up AFOs real goal but even then AFO is just like „almost :)“ the quirk singularity dooms day theory ties in with all this. Multiple quirks/ strong quirks brake you if your body isn’t ready and even then there can be issues.

I'll defend and protect Aoyama with all my heart. Aoyama and Izuku is not the same in any situation, Izuku did not go to a different route but was given a different chance instead. Izuku just managed to be stupidly lucky and bump into All Might and inherit his strong ass quirk while Aoyama was not given any chance at all, it was his parents who made a deal with AFO to give him a nasty ass quirk that just hurts him a lot and refusal would've ended up with him and his family to be killed.

Aoyama wasn’t given a choice, his parents made a deal with the devil to give their son a quirk and he was forced to pay the price. He could’ve refused to be a spy but that would resulted in him and his family being killed.

Well it wasn't his choice. It was his parents, he had no say in the matter. People forget he was 4 years old when his parents ask AFO to give him a quirk and he was 15 years old when he was blackmailed to spy on his only friend. I can't even really call him traitor, I say he's a victim.

Ah, it seems like a first generation quirk as well if you think about it. Because whe don't know who Afo stole it from. And in the case of all first gen quirks, "If they aren't weak, they are dangerous for the user, and sometimes they're harmful even if they are weak". Since back then, quirks were first emerging. Although it also depends on what stage of life aoyama got Navel Laser in the first place.

I’ve always suspected he was the traitor since the usj arc when he was asking everyone where he was and when Asui asked him, he said “It was a secret”. Plus with how his quirk affects him, it shows he’s not used to it like how Deku wasn’t used to using OFA until he got the proper training in UA. Plus if you pay attention to the seating chart, it’s organized by how students do academically well. Aoyama being at the very bottom probably didn’t make it unless his parents paid the school to let him be in 1-A. Though I was sort of off about my quirk theory part in all this, it would’ve made sense if he was the traitor if he wanted a better quirk for his body that he can sustain. Him being quirkless was what shocked me the most.

Though I disagree with the Deku and aoyama comparison. A. Deku got a choice. B. The AH who gave deku his quirk was a hero. I mean if AFO caught Deku right after the huge bakugo incident + All might whammy and offered a quirk would he have refused? If he (Deku) had agreed, would he have chosen his family's death over betraying UA students who weren't really your friends because you couldn't relate to them and knew what you'd have to do in the end. I'd say they got mirror situations but Aoyama got the worse side. 😮‍💨

For everyone thinking aoyama had a choice, think again. He dint. All for one threatened him and his family. He dint chose to take a quirk, his parents made the deal and he had to deal with the repercussions. He was a victim of blackmail and considering his reaction he clearly dint want to betray them. Finally, deku dint CHOSE a different route. He was handed one the same way as aoyama, EXCEPT, the guy on the other end of the stick was nice.
