Anuar Zain is a very loveable singer in Malaysia. He is what we called a singer that "telan kaset" (eat cassette in English😄), loosely translated to, his live singing is the same as his recording singing in the cassette. He is also what we called an Exclusive singer, whenever he commits to a performance, he gave it his all, and it shows in his performance and all his songs. His interaction with his fans is also one of the best. Which makes him very likeable and supported by many😁

Tq for the reaction coach, actually he started singing from child around 11-12 years old after that slow down and he work at as stewards MAS after secondary school.. His sister Ziana Zain also ex Stewardess MAS before active on singing around 90's, the song perpisahan mean separation about love sad story that's OST for Films Cinta 2006/2007 before that anuar a lot of song not ballads but fast song also... U should react his song famous like Mungkin, Sesuci Cintamu, keabadian cinta, ketulusan hati,andainya takdir, belahan hati, fast song like Bila resah, kau bunga cintaku, permata he still be recognised because his looks n power vocal soul that so many girls or auntie love him so much.. Hehe now he released new song after a few years not go out with material because his choosy with good song n lyrics.. His new song call Sendiri that up beat song with powerful lyrics and music.. Other singer like him style well recommended Hafiz suip, Hazami that's kind of genre like anuar zain..

His vocal technique is proven amazing even from the start of his solo career where he won the best male vocal for his FIRST single called Bila Resah & best vocal performance in album for his FIRST solo debut album from Music Industry Award (AIM). Only in the FIRST year, he already can beat the other nominations who are seniors & bigger names compared to him at that time. Also, considering Bila Resah is not that common type of ballad, rocky or high-pitched song but still can win just shows that how amazing Anuar Zain vocal is. And that is only his beginning. Later he became the multi-winner awards for many categories from multiple award ceremonies like The Most Popular Male Singer & The Best Male Singer including from an award ceremony called Planet Music Award which the nominations are from 3 countries Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore in 2008 & 2017 (9 years gap just shows this man has never lost his magic touch even in competitive competition) Plus Anuar Zain is also the most winners for Male Vocal Awards from AIM which is an award ceremony equivalent to Grammy in Malaysia. Anuar Zain's debut song was an Eid's festive song called Selamat Hari Raya. He was 10-12years old but his debut song as a true soloist was Keabadian Cinta (Eternal Love). My all time favourite song from him. I listened to it since it came out till now. Would love you react to the live version. If I'm not mistaken there's an English translation for Keabadian Cinta here on youtube. You just have to read the translation to feel the music and his beautiful voice. It's more meaningful like that because most Malay songs have poetic lyrics. Thank u for reacting!

That’s why Anuar Zain stands out among Malaysian male singer because he leans toward pop R & B ballads doing lots of vocal runs & style. These R & B style is more refine with Indonesian singer. Agree! This is such an evergreen song and was first performed live during the 1998 Sukom. The video could also give you a brief glimpse in Malaysian culture as it was shot live at the event. Also, all these singers are legendary in their own right with careers spanning decades.

For me this song is about a man who hardly to let go his loves one. Its like unimaginable when she wants to breakaway when he need most. He being hunted by her memories and sadness come its unbearable for him to cry and move with the memories. Thats why i love this song so much. Its full of feelings and meanings. There are very few male singers who doesn't have a rock quality to their voice. You're right, they're a rare breed in Malaysia. Here are my top 3 faves. Anuar Zain Bob Yusof One Forteen (He's very good but is extremely underrated. He's one of the member of a boy group called Forteen, but outside of the group he's really under appreciated by the public) For Bob Yusof, you can start by his performance of the song 'Sumayyah'. And for One Forteen you can check out his performance of 'I surrender'. (This one is recorded on a phone, so the quality of the video is a bit.. 😅, but the quality of his voice will make up for it)

Anuar started in the music industry at a young age, around 12 or 13, in the 80s. He was part of the duo called Anuar & Elina. Then after a few years, he quit probably to focus on his study. After that, he joined Malaysia Airlines as flight attendant. Then in 1997, he quit the job and made a come back in the music industry. I’m pretty sure the success of his sister, Ziana Zain, (you reacted to her a few times before) also contributed to the come back. He’s been really successful ever since. In fact, he was once known as the highest paid singer in Malaysia. I think he still is. But he’s very humble and grounded. Love him.

I happened to sit with Anuar on a plane ride from Sydney to Singapore in 2014 for 7 hours. Lovely man. I didnt know who he was, but a few stewardes keeps on fussing over him. He told me he was working with lights, didn't know he was the one under the limelight :). Overall great guy, still have chats over email with him to this day.

Perpisahan is definitely one of my favourite song especially from Anuar Zain. This song is ost for one of the best movie (Cinta), backing the story about two departed souls and the struggle of him accepting the tragedy, not to blame his other half but simply picturing how he felt along the scenes. I love when it lyrically saying “ku harungi hari, bersama wajah tak mungkin akan kembali”, expressing how and why he felt what he felt- that he would go through the upcoming days without the face he once love, and this would be forever. Such a heart-breaking, yet trying so hard to make it the day through.
