Brother John Baptist’s story of the old monk he looked up to was enlightening. The inner castle and the true freedom of the old monk’s soul was so powerful to learn about. All the monks are incredible.

God allowed me the blessing and fortitude of meeting Fr Benedict and Brother Peter when I was about 21 yrs old. The times I spent there in grand silence as I was searching for my vocation will always be some of the most important in my journey with Christ. I was too humbled in words I can't describe by the life of Brother Peter whom at the time was probably in his late sixties or seventies I don't know. It was 28 yrs ago. My souls rejoices every time I remember this very special place to my heart. God bless you and keep you Father and Brothers of the Benedictine Rule. Thank you for all you did for me

Thank you for your witness Br. John Baptist. Our local Trappist Community had Monks from China, Our Lady of Joy. Fr Denis was allowed to go back to China to visit former community members all Chinese living in the St Benedict's Village. They were so full of joy he said and there were Benedictines and Cistercians all living together. You have been blessed to know Br Peter Zhou! Treasure what he told you.

It was in 1983 the Fr Benedict opened to me and asked, " Why have come to us?" I told him that Our Lord lead me. I visited often for 3 years, the he said where are you from. WA ST. FR said go to St Martin's. I have been at St. Martin's ever since. But ST Andrew's is in my heart. Michael Curran Obl OSB

Majority are elderly and very few people think this is the way to reach God. But I have respect for these people.

There's a good group of men. Holy men. Exemplars. For me, for men like Pope Francis et al.

God has not called people to be spiritual but to invite Jesus Christ into our hearts an show people God where we live in the world, by being friendly an nice an civil, not behind walls of community.Yes the early desert fathers, an early monks contributed a lot to civilisation an discipline an brought order to Christianity .Nevertheless we all have freewill which God will not violate .To each true believer God bless to live as You will but its better to obey God's will.

Where in the bible does it say to invite Jeuss Christ in our hearts Protestant? You're traditions yes TRADITIONS are not found in the bible either, but built by the bible. Glory to the one true holy, catholic, and apostolic church that Jesus Christ himself built on the rock of Saint Pope Peter
