Yeah thats gonna be tough to overcome, however imo we’re starting to see Dak blossom into the type of QB that can will the team to gritty and ugly wins, but if they stack it doesn’t really matter how they look as long as they can stack right? There’s nothing more dangerous than a team that can always find ways to win ugly games. Remember the 09 Giants? Just about every game they played was ugly, yes they had an excellent defense but it really came down to QB play and the QB willingness to the team to gritty and ugly wins. Dak is gonna get better, his connections with CD, Tolbert, Turpin, Ferguson, and Leupke is going to get better and already is starting too. These guys didn’t get any preseason time together so the first 4-5 games in reality is still preseason for these guys. Personally I dont like it, but once that chemistry gets locked in this offense can win ugly, they can win gritty.

Leupke and Stephens Jr have shown they are high reliability targets.. shoot them the ball. People always sleep on Fullbacks as receivers... Rathman at San Fran with Montana banked on that and Rathman had 1000 yds receiving.. out of the backfield.. Sneaky and good. So hit Leupke til they figure it out.

On your guys Tolbert convo, Flournoy is the second best WR on this team. Unfortunate seniority isn’t letting him get on the field. Big, Strong, Physical, Shifty, Great Route Running, Hands, Finishing and is Coached by the Hall of Famer Chris Carter. Give this man a shot, atleast over Brooks, but I think he’s better tha Tolbert and Prob Cooks now too. Oh yea and hes a better blocker than all of them too.

I know I like him also. Tolbert will be at his best in 2 more years I feel. I like dowdle. Why don't they try to run lueptke as a back, not fb. He used to be a running back in college right? Idk duece wants to be out there too. I only see 2 plays from him. Always bad plays, why not throw screens more. It worked yesterday for dowdle. Flournoy needs to be out there. Mike is calling terrible plays. These 5 yard passes are absolutely ridiculous. Dak has shown he can swing that ball. With CeeDee being constantly doubled, we don’t have any receivers that can consistently get open. Ferguson is our best #2 option and we go absolutely no where at this rate.

Zeke averaged almost four ypc behind an O Line that’s porous and not that gd a moving ppl off the ball. With better run blocking he prolly ups that ypc a half yard or more. That’s four ypc. I mean wtf?!?? 😂😂😂 Is he the home run hitter of 2016 no but put some respect on that man name geesh!! As a complimentary back what’s the problem? I mean he’s averaging a half ypc less than Tony Pollard did last season. That’s behind a compromised O Line with a play caller that’s stuck in the 90’s/2000’s. Let’s keep things in perspective.

The win was unimpressive and almost feels like a loss, however something a lot of casuals don’t realize and wont mention is this was a short week game, short week games tend to never be pretty like ever. Imo we are starting to see Dak blossom into the type of QB that will be able to overcome all kinds of adversity and poor play and still will the team to gritty ugly wins, but if they stack it really doesn’t matter how they look as long as they can stack.

Sure we can go with trends, we can go with the always negative pessimism, or maybe we can see that team will face a lot of adversity but can probably still finish with 10 or 11 wins with at least one or two over better teams. Most the offense did not play together in the preseason and had zero chemistry and in game practice together. We have seen slow starts from the Cowboys before, we have seen them lose a few and look like the worst team in the league before ripping off 4 or 5 games in a row. Nobody knows.

I think Mike McCarthy is thinking way outside the box. Mike is in his last year. But Mike knows how to win a Superbowl. Mike knows teams watch what you put on film. So they can attack you. But it's hard to attack. If you're constantly changing.the first week they had so pre snap motion. And some nice play. The next two weeks they came out flat and no movement. Probably because teams watch Cleveland the film. It's a long season. They got CeeDee in motion. If McCarthy runs a lot of the same plays. He can save his best plays for later in the season. Or the post season. I keep hearing people say. Dak is the one that's calling the plays and charging plays at the line. So what if it's not on McCarthy. What if McCarthy is telling Dak. We need at least 7 yards on a play. And tells him to run one of 3 plays. If it is Dak You have to remember he was with Garrett like 4 years. You say run run pass run/punt is on McCarthy or shotty. But what if it's really Dak. Garrett was a run run pass run guy. What if that is what comes to Dak's mind to run. Or Dak might be trying to run thinks like his rookie year. Because it was so successful. But it doesn't seem to work because we have new rookies. And don't have Frederick and the old O line. Later in the year. When they are doing all the movement and trick plays. You'll say where was this at the beginning of the year. But if teams know how your going to attack them. They will know how to defend against your attack. McCarthy is trying to teach Dak to be like Rodgers and other great QBs. That can run everything on the field. Without a lot of help from coach. I time McCarthy is only telling day. The yards we need. What calls are best to run. And what the time on the clock is. But they have a little struggle getting the runners in sync. And get the run game going. And getting Dak and CeeDee timing in sync. So it looks rough. The same with Zim. He's trying to install a new system. With players he doesn't know too well. He only had a short camp. He knows one or two players. But the players are new to him. And his system is new to the players. The first week. Someone said they ran basically the defense they ran last year. I think Zim ran what they knew well. Then is trying to slowly add in his system. But it's going to take time to get it going. What if they said look. These guys don't have zims system down yet. And let's sacrifice these first few games. To see all the starters playing and how they sync up. We know they can't win every game. I'd rather lose 3-4 games early in the season. And then start clicking later. Kinda like Kansas City does. They start kinda slow. See what works. Throw out what doesn't. And by the end of the year. are ready to run the full system in the Superbowl. McCarthy is trying to get another contract be it here or with another team. Dak had his best year last year. With McCarthy as play caller. ( Last year was McCarthy's first real year running his full system with Dak and the team) So what if this year's he is letting Dak call most of his own plays. Or change plays to what he sees on the field. That pass to CeeDee. Where Dak threw the ball it a tight window. cause they left CeeDee in blocked. But the safety was on him quickly. Stanback said that wasn't supposed to go to CeeDee. But Dak saw the defender playing off. So he tested him. And got CeeDee the ball. McCarthy probably didn't see that. because he was ordering his cheese cake from the factory. As you called his play sheet. Some things my not be clicking yet. Because Dak's timing is off. Because the new rookies. If Dak is trying to read the field. But also has to be thinking watch my left side. because of the new rookie. And guys are getting past him. The ball might be coming out a second quicker the normal. And throw of timing and ball placement. If Dak feels a guy on his left. He might throw the ball a tick early. But try to put it a bit higher. Or farther down field. To give guys time to make a play on the ball. You have to remember. Last year was the first year McCarthy calling plays. And everything was great winning games etc. this year McCarthy maybe letting Dak down more. McCarthys job. Is to make Dak successful. McCarthy isn't here to please the media. McCarthy would love to say F the media. Most of the media ask the same redundant question over and over. And don't ask any real football questions.

McCarthy is coaching scared!!! He is putting Dak in bad positions because he is trying to protect all the players. He won't allow Dak to run and he is running week pass routes with all the recievers. He is coaching so we don't have turnovers. You can't coach this way for success. He has also told the defensive coach to coach thesame way. If you look at his face, you will see him with sad face everyrime someone got banged around. I don't want anybody to get hurt but you can't coach scared!!!

Our core is still full of great star players, but the young guys playing everywhere is exposing our coaching quite a bit. We’re Use to having more veteran depth.
