You can't listen to Voctave without knowing that Tiffany has some really high notes in her. But when you sing with Kate, they tend to get overshadowed. So nice to really hear her up in the rafters. Fun tidbit: In Mary, Did You Know, while Kate is showing off her G6, Tiffany is singing a perfect D6 that blends in so well you don't notice it.

If you haven't heard Tiffany sing "The Impossible Dream," you need to put that on your "to do" list. She absolutely SLAYS that song! By the way... she absolutely slays THIS as well!!

Fun fact: Kate Lott (the shorter soprano in the back) is usually the 1st soprano and she was the one made to hit the G6 in Mary Did You Know, and all the other high background stuff. But Tiffany can also go up to F6 (especially in her younger days), and it's cool that they made her shine to the fullest in this with an Eb6 at the end! Otherwise, she is shadowed by Kate most of the time!

I love that Tiffany got the solo on this one. Her voice is classical and perfectly suited for this song. Voctave is one of the best choral type of Acapella group out there in my opinion. Lovely reaction Danielle

A voice of silk, so smooth and controlled. Just wonderful and, yes, so many instances of horripilation. Tiffany and Voctave set another standard of excellence.

Tiffany is the final top note, her tone is a bit different. But she tends to hit the lower top notes at the end of pieces. Bb5-D6, normally. But she goes up to E6 in the VoL.

Wait what?! It was Tiffany who hit the Eb6?!! That blows my mind even more!!!!

In live Kate, always sing Eb6, and Tiffany holds her Bb5. So Idk, it depends.
@neerajemanuel7771Күн бұрын
@@kaine7149 Yes, Tiffany has chosen to not go much above high c inthe recent years. She's definitely slowed down a bit from the time this was recorded. She's nearing 60, so it makes a lot of sense that she doesn't want to strain much!
@kaine7149Күн бұрын
@@neerajemanuel7771 Ah yes, I see. Just singing very high, even with practice, experience and technique, is in itself very difficult. You mustn't overdo it, nor force your voice too much when you reach a certain age. Nevertheless, some great sopranos, particularly in opera, still have a wide range even at an advanced age, but everyone is different. I love Tiffany and all the rest of Voctave and I strongly wish them to continue what they have always loved!!!!

FA LA LA and surely a very good performance of this great Christmas Classic - I will say out of the top Singing groups this one is third in my estimation ..... a lot of singers means a lot of fills, accents and anything but, Harmony and tight backing vocal strategies ..... My first pick for Oh Holy Night = HOME FREE ...... creatively it is sweet, powerful and as tight harmonics as humanly possible ! The choir and slow delivery of this By Voctave is great ..... just not what this doctor ordered. GBjj

I love Voctave, but feel they overdid this one. I'd rather listen to the more traditional ones. Jussi Björling and Sissel (Kyrkjebø) sing this absolutely beautiful.

Dang that is not at all very good. I will take Jimmy Fortune or John Berry anyday thanks. Just my opinion.
