contrary to what someone in your chat said, there is no "deleted scene" in which Dutch walks away from Arthur for the last time and "starts sobbing." The actor who PLAYED Dutch, after they had filmed the motion capture scene, when he had walked off-camera, cried.
@TheLanceUppercut
@TheLanceUppercut 19 күн бұрын
Yeah, I remember the actor saying they filmed it like three times, and he was sobbing as he walked away each time. He was still being mocapped at the time, so they COULD have used it, but elected not to. I still like to think Dutch was crying as he walked away though, even if only as head canon. That moment of clarity where he realized all his mistakes that lead to that moment would drive any man to tears.

some in your chat was saying _"Damn they don't even give you a moment to grieve"_ they don't. But if you notice the last Chapter with John is called *"The Wheel"* .... _The Wheel of Time waits for no man. It keeps ever turning._ It was a deliberate thing R* did. Loved your reactions and RDR2 is one of the hardest games to play and watch, as we know Aurthur's dying from Chapter 2. Slowly watching a man die from TB that we grow so attached to and feel for makes this the biggest knife in the heart.

@RikkiFinch thanks for the reply! I sometimes look up reactions to the end of chapter six since it hits harder than just about anything in the game, and I came across yours. Boy, you had me crying as much as the very first time. I recommend playing RDR1, even if you don't stream it, though that would be a treat. It's not nearly as long as part 2, and it ties up the few loose ends not covered in the rdr2 epilogue. Have you given any thought to a movie reaction channel?

@RikkiFinch well, I'm subscribing today. I look forward to watching your playthrough of rdr1. I imagine it's much more stressful editing movie reactions since the copywrite is such a pain, especially if movies aren't really your thing. It was cool to hear you grew up in the country. I was trying to place your accent, but I couldn't get more specific than south of Ohio and east of New Mexico. Hehe, maybe I'm wrong about that, too. If you ever want to watch another rdr2 playthrough, I highly recommend either mirandalorian (zany and down to earth), eralia (funny and chill), and EOM gaming (extremely funny, sassy, and some abrasive wit). All of those reactors had strong emotional reactions to the game in their own unique ways. Oh, and MojaveD is on a totally different level. He's a 70-something year old guy that played the game, sharing wonderful stories from his youth during each episode as he plays. It's honestly like listening to Arthur tell stories if he'd have lived that long. Thanks for the great content. I hope to see much more!

Well, here I am, crying over Arthur and his horse, once again. Great reaction, very genuine! Sorry about your horse - that can even seem tougher than Arthur himself. I inadvertently heard a little spoiler on my first play through where I knew Arthur's horse doesn't make it, so I rode an old nag on that final ride - and still cried over Arthur comforting the poor creature. Now whenever I play through, I keep a generic Morgan in the stable that I never ride, except on that final mission. Quite a testament to this masterpiece that Rockstar created - everyone cries. Awe, I don't like to see people cry but I love that we all probably share the same experience when Arthur died. It helped me cope with the sadness that you can visit Arthur's grave in the game and meet people who knew him and mention him in dialogues. If you donated those 20$ for that orphanage or what it was in St. Denis, there is a commemorative plaque naming Arthur as donator which is pretty cool. Even more helped me watching videos with all the actors of the game. Roger Clark is as Arthur as it gets when he talks. He gives very insightful interviews and seems to be a very cool bean.

Otherwise nice but hate the chat for constantly spoiling and saying stuff like "oh she aint ready for this" or "this is a good part". Some were just spoiling things like the arthur thanking his horse.

Amazing. I remember when this game first came out alot of people were actually really upset with this "new guy" and I was one of them. He turned out to be such an amazing character that most people forgot John was the main protagonist of RDR1. Arthur is the embodiment of what a real gritty man should be. Hardened and cold yet somehow warm and vulnerable. Great great writing by the Rockstar team. I would take RDR3 before GTA6 any day.

Rockstar truly has a sadistic streak with regards to breaking our hearts 😢. Arthur, a complex, damaged, vulnerable soul sighted by a narcissist named Dutch... like a hungry hawk diving in and clutching it's talons into its next prey. Of course with arthurs life experience and upbringing he thought he deserved nothing more then a life on the run.. from civilized society.. from the possibility of a happy life.. or ever building a family of his own. Arthurs redemption laid out before us, finally waking up from the malaise of giving up on himself is a story that can resonate and inspire any one of us.. it certainly did with me. Sorry for the essay, but your honesty with your emotions was very.. inspiring in it's own way. 😊

@@itsvideos3 its okay! thank you for watching! and absolutely this story really is so amazing. like, ofc we arent outlaws on the run and murderers (at least i hope not) but we can still relate to the characters and arthur. this game honestly has really changed me as a person.

Wait a second, we're not both outlaws on the run from the law? Speak for yourself! 😅😅 I'll have you know one time i jaywalked within eyesight of a cop car and didn't care at all. 🤓😎😎😎 Seriously though, i felt the same way after finishing the game. I haven't been able to pick it up again after beating it years ago.. Its also so interesting to me to see someones perspective who plays rdr2 before rdr1 because i had the opposite experience. You are going to LOVE rdr1 btw.. it just feels so 2010.. truly years ahead of its time in terms of storytelling and atmosphere. No other game feels quite like it.

I sometimes wonder if my affinity for watching people play through chpt 6 is to reminisce and commiserate or some sadistic pleasure from seeing them go through what I went through. I like to think it's the former.

This VOD is wonderful, I feel totally identified with your feelings and the way you express them. It´s nice to feel that "company" after saying goodbye to Arthur. In Arthur's memory: let's always try to be a good person, always try. We will fail, but we will learn to try again a bit better; we should aim to have a clear conscience through our actions as we never know when our end will come and we might not have time to fix everything from the past. RIP Arthur Morgan, thank you for your legacy!
