contrary to what someone in your chat said, there is no "deleted scene" in which Dutch walks away from Arthur for the last time and "starts sobbing." The actor who PLAYED Dutch, after they had filmed the motion capture scene, when he had walked off-camera, cried.
@TheLanceUppercut19 күн бұрын
Yeah, I remember the actor saying they filmed it like three times, and he was sobbing as he walked away each time. He was still being mocapped at the time, so they COULD have used it, but elected not to. I still like to think Dutch was crying as he walked away though, even if only as head canon. That moment of clarity where he realized all his mistakes that lead to that moment would drive any man to tears.

But if you notice the last Chapter with John is called *"The Wheel"* .... _The Wheel of Time waits for no man. It keeps ever turning._ It was a deliberate thing R* did. Loved your reactions and RDR2 is one of the hardest games to play and watch, as we know Aurthur's dying from Chapter 2. Slowly watching a man die from TB that we grow so attached to and feel for makes this the biggest knife in the heart.

Boy, you had me crying as much as the very first time. I recommend playing RDR1, even if you don't stream it, though that would be a treat. @RikkiFinch well, I'm subscribing today. I look forward to watching your playthrough of rdr1. I imagine it's much more stressful editing movie reactions since the copywrite is such a pain, especially if movies aren't really your thing. It was cool to hear you grew up in the country. I was trying to place your accent, but I couldn't get more specific than south of Ohio and east of New Mexico. Hehe, maybe I'm wrong about that, too. If you ever want to watch another rdr2 playthrough, I highly recommend either mirandalorian (zany and down to earth), eralia (funny and chill), and EOM gaming (extremely funny, sassy, and some abrasive wit). All of those reactors had strong emotional reactions to the game in their own unique ways. Oh, and MojaveD is on a totally different level. He's a 70-something year old guy that played the game, sharing wonderful stories from his youth during each episode as he plays. It's honestly like listening to Arthur tell stories if he'd have lived that long. Thanks for the great content. I hope to see much more!

Awe, I don't like to see people cry but I love that we all probably share the same experience when Arthur died. It helped me cope with the sadness that you can visit Arthur's grave in the game and meet people who knew him and mention him in dialogues. If you donated those 20$ for that orphanage or what it was in St. Denis, there is a commemorative plaque naming Arthur as donator which is pretty cool. Even more helped me watching videos with all the actors of the game. Roger Clark is as Arthur as it gets when he talks. He gives very insightful interviews and seems to be a very cool bean.

Rockstar truly has a sadistic streak with regards to breaking our hearts 😢. Arthur, a complex, damaged, vulnerable soul sighted by a narcissist named Dutch... like a hungry hawk diving in and clutching it's talons into its next prey. Of course with arthurs life experience and upbringing he thought he deserved nothing more then a life on the run.. from civilized society.. from the possibility of a happy life.. or ever building a family of his own. Arthurs redemption laid out before us, finally waking up from the malaise of giving up on himself is a story that can resonate and inspire any one of us.. it certainly did with me. Arthur has to be one of the best protagonists in a video game ever if you got masses of people mourning him like he was a real person
