Yeah Oschon deciding to stay behind was such an unexpected gut-punch! All the gods talk about love, but while it seems genuine it's also a detached sort of love, very much like how the ancients spoke of "the star". Oschon though? He walked among us, got to know us as people, and despite his best efforts grew attached to people in the way a mortal would and not a god. It's such a beautiful ending for him, the Wanderer, that he gets to wander with us for a bit more.
