I also revisited this after a person I know who doesn’t like the Old Testament was making all the same objections. He sited many of the same things he covers here. Being able to see the 3 fold understanding of the law helped me negate every objection.

This teaching I've known and accepted for a long time because my churches also taught it. I have to wonder what, exactly, liberal churches teach that causes them to so wildly miss the mark. The basic divisions of the law are so obvious, as is the fact that Jesus fulfilled all the law, but decreed that the moral law remains. Why do liberals miss this?

This past Christmas (2015), before the service began, I confronted an angry homosexual who was sitting in the front row of the church which I attend. His countenance was of anger and his arms were folded. I told him that church was for the saved who were there to honor, worship, and praise their Lord Jesus. He came back with, "I can do whatever I want and don't tell me that Jesus was God!!" I read Romans 1 to him and he got up and stormed out of the church. When I told the Men's Ministry pastor what I did, he got angry with me and said that what I did was wrong. He then accused me of being judgmental. I must say that the men in the church I attend are so weak!! There is little-to-no witnessing/evangelizing going on and whenever I invite other men to go door-to-door, all I get are blank stares, like I have 2 heads or something. We men are going to have to answer for the reasons we disobeyed Jesus' command to "Go....", because I'm telling you, very few, if any, men are "going".

+timothy yakich My Brother.... that is a part of being sold out for the Lord. The Word tells us... narrow is the way of righteousness and few you will find on that road (I am paraphrasing.) Let me encourage you... continue to speak the Word of God, you did not write it But you are charged to proclaim it and be a witness. Timothy Yakich well, the church is for sinners, whom need to hear the Gospel, so they can receive salvation then sanctification. Don’t get me wrong, the bold truth must be told, and practiced. I don’t think you are wrong for taking a stand, but the church would not be a church, if to be there you must first be saved.

To Timothy Yakich: I think it is wise to consider how Jesus would often use questions. He would even answer a question with a question. For example: to the man, “ why do you seem so angry?” The man: you think all homosexuals are going to hell! You: how do you define Hell? The man: Id rather go there than be around judgmental people like you. You: my understanding of Hell is being separated from God. The Man: I want God but it seems he won’t accept me! You: can I tell you the gospel?

I do wish that pastor would use the only true word of God in the English language, the KJV.The ESV in 2 Peter 1:19 rightly shows us that one of Jesus' names is the day star.However, back in Isaiah 14:12 the ESV then says that the one who fell from heaven is the day star...What??So, Jesus is Lucifer? Wait, the name "Lucifer" cant' even be found in the ESV, because they replaced it with one of Jesus' names. (As a matter of truth, the name "Lucifer" is found only in the KJV. That's how we know who Satan is.)Blasphemous. Heretical. Shameful. Disgraceful.Also, if you try to read the following Holy Scripture verses, the true, infallible, inerrant, and precious word of God in the English language, you will NOT find them in the ESV:Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14. Mark 7:16; 9:44; 9:46; 11:26; 15:28. Luke 17:36; 23:17. John 5:3b & 4. Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29.Romans 16:24.Deuteronomy 4:2...Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.Proverbs 30:5, 6...EVERY word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. With the KJV, there is no doubt that what I hold in my hands is the infallible, inerrant, true, precious, uncorrupted, and preserved word of God!! Hallelujah and Amen!!As they say, "COME ON, MAN!!" Quit messin' around with those stupid, uninspired, crocked, corrupted versions and get the word of God in your hands! Then read, study it, meditate on it, and teach it the way God intended!!

+RW Colquitt...please re-read my posting, RW. Lucifer IS Satan. The ESV, and all the other new world order (false) versions of the Holy Scriptures, blaspheme our Lord when they indicate that Jesus is Satan!! The newer versions removed the name "Lucifer" and subtly inserted one of Jesus' name...thus teaching that Jesus is fallen from heaven!! ONLY the KJV rightly calls Lucifer the fallen angel, and rightfully calls Jesus both the Morning Star and the Day Star. It amazes me that pastors all across America continue to use and promote these filthy rags...especially after this is pointed out to them. Shameful. And America will continue this free-fall of destruction that we are in until we use only God's word to teach, instruct, rebuke, and reprove.

The word "lucifer" in the KJV is actually not a proper noun, but a descriptive word for the king of Babylon (and thus, should not be written with a capital "L"), of whom the Lord said "Those who see you... will consider you, saying: 'Is this the man who made the nations tremble...?' " As far as Bible versions are concerned, more research on your part is necessary, as the KJV is known by biblical scholars not to be as accurate as some of the later versions which are based on more, and older manuscripts found since the KJV was translated. Plus scholars today have a greater understanding of the original languages than those in the time of king James.

The only true word of God please can you give scripture And verse for that title please. The KJV is a translation and that is it, it is not an inspired translation. Also if you see it that way if I speak German should I then only be reading a German that is a German translation of the KJV or should I be using a translation from the original text? I do not understand why someone wants to keep forcing people to keep reading over 300 year old English when you don’t speak 300 year old English. I will say it again that the KJV is not the inspired word of God it is a translation a translation that I was brought up on and go to a church where the majority reads and preaches from. The original language is Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic if you truly believe that we should be reading in quotes “true word of God” you should be learning to understand those languages because in those languages inspiration was given from the Holy Spirit and no matter how beautiful the KJV is it cannot claim that
