Great video, helped me out in terms of what to get and what the challenge was for fitting. In case it helps anyone, I didnt use the allen key bolt that came with the lever. Instead I used a regular hex bolt you can get a normal spanner on. That was dead easy (as opposed to coming from the back with a long allen key), you can get at the bolt head to tighten or loosen from the side or bottom with minimal faf. Be easier on the trail if had an issue and wanted to swap the old one back on. Thanks for sharing this (and the other videos) on the Voge 300, bash plate, luggage etc. Really useful sources of references for the likes of me (having just purchased one).

@@roybailey4529 thanks for your feedback. I’m glad it was helpful. Actually since I made the video I have changed the bolt as you have mentioned. It is a useful tip, so thank you. I hope you have fun on your bike.

Thank you very much for this!. I already have the lever, but read some people having issues with the installation process and I didn't even try yet. Now I know exactly how to do it!. Keep the good work!.

This is exactly what i had to do on mine. I think people who say they couldn't fit theirs fall into 2 camps, 1 either ordered and got sent to wrong part/Lever, and those that just don't actually try past taking things part. Only thing will say, is there isn't much room for adjustment on the splines, since if you rotate the the angle of the lever too much, the angle of the fastener is unreachable. I have mine roughly sorted out, has its moments, obviously longer lever means longer movement/leverage is needed to change gears, and getting the exact tailored angle you need might not be 100% satisfactory. For me I have size 10 boots, regular sports/touring/low adventure boots worked fine, but MX/Enduro style just wouldn't work.Hence i had to opt for this lever in the video. Great video though.

Thanks for your comment. No, it’s not perfect, and we are all individuals. What works for one doesn’t necessarily work for someone else. It takes some getting used to changing gear in the big boots on any bike. Ride safe ✌️

Superb blog, The answer to my nightmare I hope, I have adjusted the gear lever 4 times to fit my enduro boots and it was still not right, so started using my trail boots so had to adjust the lever 3 more times still not happy, me thinks i will be on my way to aliexpres.

As you have shown with a long allen key it is quite easy to fit. I've had to play around lots with mine to get the angle of the leaver just right. Not too high that you have to lift your foot to change down and not too low that...... Well if it is too low you might find that you can not change up. If you find this issue it is because your boot is still in contact with the lever after your first change up and you are not letting it drop back down ready for the next gear selection (it is not a gearbox problem). I do worry that the cast ali lever will snap rather than bend as steel would if it is in contact with the ground, but hopefully it is tucked out of the way enough to avoid this. BTW the original lever was fine with my old size 11 trials boots, but like you I thought I'd try the longer leaver to make changing a little easier with off-road boots on. I have a new pair of off-road boots that are quite stiff at the ankle, but I might go back to the original steel lever once the boots have developed a bit more ankle flex. I do like steel as it bends.

Yes the angle makes a lot of difference. On the original I had moved it up one notch. I also had the thought that aluminium could break, although it does seem rather strong and that would take quite a thump. However, I will be taking the steel one with me on long trips. 😄

This lever has been fitted for 8 months now. Originally I didn’t use thread lock on the bolt and it came loose. Remember to use thread lock.

Thank you very much for your very informative videos. I have a problem with my Voge 300 rally, sometimes (especially 3. Gear and while going downhill) when I pulled the clutch engine stops suddenly. Do you have any idea? Thank you very much in advance.

@@tolgaakdemir1311 Thank you. I’m pleased that the videos have been helpful. I’m sorry I’m not a motorcycle mechanic so can’t really diagnose the problem. I can suggest that you could check the adjustment of the clutch cable first. If it’s not that I would speak to a mechanic. Best of luck.

Thanks for this, I dropped my bike and bent the gear lever, It was easy enough to bend it back, but a new lever as you suggest seems sensible. I also have big feet! I'm just perusing Ali Express, which is a real Aladdin's Cave, trying to figure which one will work...I was wondering about spline count, etc. Do you have the link to the one you bought please? Also the next big question is....Does a centre stand exist for this fun machine? Cheers.
