Be careful filling up I spilled some petrol and it went down on to the black paint of the main frame. The paint started to melt and come off when I tried to clean it off with a rag. A bit odd I will have to air brush it back over as it’s left an obvious stain

Sounds like someone has touched that up before you took delivery, maybe damaged in transit. Petrol won't remove paint a brake fluid leak from a broken reservoir definitely , I would be straight back to the dealership.

4.4 update definitely did make a difference temp gauge deffo.mine also feels a bit snatchy still and the clutch feels like it's slipping when you give it a bag full through the gears and bites quite late

@@garykendall9426 mine has been really good on 4.4 for a few months. It’s not a problem islolated to this bike. It’s the euro 5 emissions restrictions. The throttle reset makes a big difference. Looks like it maybe an ongoing tweak

Interesting, there had been a few comments on late burn in Sports mode, so after throttling off a surge of unused gas. I have not experienced that or any virtual clutch slip. But maybe it’s the same thing others are experiencing just described differently. Early days guys but it’s one heck of a machine ✌🏻

In the nearly 8 months I owned mine I have not experienced any over run in Sports mode from UN burnt fuel or any virtual clutch slip , coming up to 5k now. Running great on 4.4 for a couple of months then needed the throttle reset tweak. But yes a superb bike. Looking forward to seeing the Voge 800 rally at Eicma , it's supposedly has a Yamaha 800 engine in it.

Thanks for the update. I am still riding around on 4.3 which was on the bike when I got it ten days ago (the very last one available in my region of Poland). I will see if the dealer can update it to 4.4 when I take it for the 1k first service next week but to be honest after coming from my old 2003 Triumph America I certainly have little if nothing to complain about. The only problem I have had so far was a couple of days ago when I took the wife on it for the first time. Weight... even though I changed to the recommended settings for two up with loaded baggage, the bike was low and I had to lean the bike over to the right to get enough clearance to raise or lower the side stand. I'm 114 kg and the wife is 85kg so us alone without baggage brings the bike real close to its 205kg limit. I guess we will have to lose a few kilos or start travelling light! :D

@@zegrze Thanks for your comments, the weight can be an issue riding with a pillion. I was bottoming out the top stand on bends with my wife on the back. Although I do have the rear suspension a bit too soft to get better ground reach. I made a video on some good riding tips for the DSX 900 a while ago, I'll put a link below

@@motechRevolution Thanks for the link but I think I have watched all of your Voge 900 videos multiple times as your current and informative content was the final part in my decision to buy the bike. I will probably watch it again anyway just for the hell of it. :)

Many thanks, love your videos. We are actually pioneers with the Voge 900 in Europe, which is exciting (especially for me after living in China for 12 years)! One question concerning the throttle reset. Coming from a four cylinder super smooth Yamaha XJR 1300 (which I still ride from time to time), I also want to do the throttle reset on my Voge DS 900 X. I watched your initial video and now I listened to what you said in this video after doing the throttle reset again. So, after the initial 10 seconds, one needs to hold 20 or 30 seconds, before turning back 10 seconds again? And is there any particular hint for me, because the throttle reset does not seem to work on my bike (bought in September with 4.3 software on it). How to do it?
@motechRevolution23 күн бұрын
I normally do a 10 second slow turn to full throttle. Then hold for 20 seconds, then return over 10 seconds. Turn off and wait 30 seconds

Thanks for the info mate. Done a 400 km ride today (highway ) without noticing anything on the throttle ( i was in road mode though ) . I have read that French dealers are distributing 4.5 update to their customers. Have u heard anything ( mean also changelog). Ride safe mate.!!

The bike pulls very strong to 100mph very easy handles extremely well.i traded my z1000sx in for my voge and this handles equally as well and probably very close in weight but think the z was a little bit heavier
