Vogel State Park Camping Day 1

After leaving Bryson City, NC we made our way down to Vogel State Park in Northern Georgia. This park is beautiful and the recently remodeled campground is very nice with sites for full hook-ups, small sites for van and pop-up campers, tent camping, even a site for backpackers to hike to. Something for everyone here. This is Georgia's # 2 most popular;ar state parks for camping. Our first full day we decided to stay at the camp, relax and smoke some bbq pork. We'll have a followup video that will show our bike around the lake and down to the falls.

I’m from central Mississippi. Really been enjoying your big haul adventures. We did a couple weeks of camping this summer up into PA and West Virginia. North Georgia really has some beautiful spots too. Thanks for sharing.

Your Real world in the field experience would be awesome! Toasting out probes,... has been "frustrating for me..." LOL! Love the system, but there has to be a better way. We love vogel. Site 64 is the best. Suchess is a popular bike route. The trail up to Blood Mountain is awesome.. 10-11 miles in and out

There was a family there camping who had a special needs child. I'm not sure of he was unhappy or just his way of showing excitement but he's who you can hear in the background.

Thank you for sharing! We have hiked at Vogel state park before but never brought our 5th wheel in there. Did you see a lot of larger campers? Just curious how difficult or easy it would be to bring our 40ft rv in there. And thanks for letting us know about the hook ups, was going to ask that question. Check out Fiesta Spices, out of Austin, Texas. They are my go to for rubs and all type of spices. They are half the cost of craft bbq rubs and I think the quality is top tier. I enjoy their Season-It-All, Garlic & Herb Rub, Chicken Rub, Lemon-Pepper and Pork Rub just to name a few.

What is that dual hook thing behind Adam at 13:55? I've seen those hooks in several parks but have no clue what they are. BTW, my stomach is now growling after watching that camp cooking.

Vogel is an awesome park! Just down the road and to the east is Helton Creek Falls. Awesome swimming hole in the summer months. BTW I too, like Fiesta brand seasonings. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us.
