Like, I _knew_ that professional voice actors are excellent at their jobs, but actually SEEING it made me know it on a whole different level. It really sucks that they often aren't given the respect they deserve in the acting industry.
@coasterthekid88678 ай бұрын
It’s because literally everybody can do it. If you actually train your voice every day for a few months, you can sound like a professional. That also means that it’s a very replaceable position. So it kind of makes sense that they aren’t given the same type of respect in the acting industry because McDonald’s workers don’t get the same type of respect in the restaurant industry. If you want respect as a voice actor, you have to play an iconic character rather than being a generic voice, like this video shows. All of these types of reads are so common that it’s not impressive.
@DeborahE78 ай бұрын
@@coasterthekid8867There are so many people that have annoying accents because English is not their first language, sound too nasally, or the pitch just isn’t right. I’m a professional vocalist and it takes years of professional voice lessons (singing) to have control like this when speaking.
@coasterthekid88678 ай бұрын
@@DeborahE7 it only takes years if you’re not putting the adequate amount of time in each day. It’s just like working out. You’re not gonna get ripped if you workout for 30 minutes every other day. And yes, everybody is different, for example if you have a Wisconsin accent God bless you because I don’t know how you do it, but the nice thing about living in modern day is that there’s a lot more editing tools to precisely tune your voice. So you don’t even need to be perfect anymore as long as you can make it perfect in the post process.
@mayhit8 ай бұрын
Actually, voice actors having been both earning _and_ saving movie studios gobs of money for decades by enabling them to cast one voice actor to fill numerous roles in a single production, and most times, getting equal or _better_ performances out of them than they'd have gotten out of a live actor with a "name." Voice acting is its own unique, specific, and impressive skill; a lot of live actors aren't actually that good at it. coasterthekid, what voice actor hurt you? And what voice were they using while they did it? Asking for the lols.
