Have you had a chance to review the CaddyTalk CUBE? The Triangulation Technology for when I'm Cart Path Only seems great to me.

I have not, but I keep getting asked about it, so I'm going to try and get my hands on one!

I had the SL2. I got rid of it cause I hated keeping up with the charging. I always had to make sure it was charged as I was getting ready. I found that I never really used the LCD screen feature. Also at least once a round it would not pick up the flag. I would get blanks for numbers.

The second I reached the part of the video where he discusses it needing to be charged between every round I immediately went to the comment section. I cannot believe how big of an oversight this was. I couldn’t imagine being ready for a round just to shoot the first flag And have my heart sinking to my stomach, because my rangefinder is dead.

I honestly feel like the Shotscope Pro LX+ does the same thing with better function. The ability to detach the gps unit seems like better system to me. Obviously at a fraction of the cost and with shottracking

Totally fair point. That said, the SL3 as a rangefinder is MUCH better than the shotscope. And while I do like the X5 or V3 systems, the H4 which is what the LX+ uses is a dealbreaker for me since you have to tap it before each shot. That said, it's also half the price of the SL3 so for the right person it's a great option.

I searched the VC course database and found the courses here in Thailand were missing the green slope feature and only a few courses had the green view. Kind of a dealbreaker for me.

Would you rather this over the z82? i love the z82 but it takes forever to load up and read the range. or should i just stick with the z82?

Isn't the recharging aspect over battery because of the GPS function? If you had batteries and turned on GPS. You'd be swapping out batteries every other round anyway. GPS is generally power thirsty.

Yes. To be clear I'm not saying GPS devices should have standard batteries, as that isn't feasible. More that, despite the extra features device like this provides, it comes at an inconvenience cost with the USB charging.

Really enjoy your reviews but I have one question that I’m 100% positive I’m not the only one wondering. It seems like all of the higher end rangefinders use the red/green indications. I’m colorblind and find it incredibly hard to use most rangefinders because of this. Is there a high end rangefinder that a person can change the color on to be blue or yellow instead of red or green?

Great question. There's not one that I know of. But with any of those rangefinders you can usually still change it to standard black if you prefer. And visibility/clarity on those is still very good.

You need to just a touch of fill light to the left side of your face. Maybe 15% of the key light on the right side.

Why are they so overengineered... so many features you do not need - that seem to make them worse to use on a daily basis
