Johnny Knoxville only voiced Leo in the 2014 film. In out of the Sahdows he was voiced by Pete Ploszek.

I actually met 2K3's Leonardo at a convention years back. He was late for his panel, he was a no-show for his first autograph session, but when he finally showed up, he did something I'll never forget. I had 2 things for him to sign, a TMNT DVD cover and this Shaman King coloring activity page for my sister who couldn't make it (he was the dub voice for Trey, the snowboarding Shaman). He signs the DVD cover, no problem. Nice conversation, good guy. But he just got so amazed by the Shaman King coloring page he actually started coloring it in! So the "I'm sorry you couldn't make it" gift I was going to give my sister was a hell of a lot nicer than the DVD cover I had him sign. Of course, her's is in a drawer back at her parent's house and mine is in a frame in a closet because I couldn't find a place to put it yet. That said, I have no major preference and love most of them, I really wish the 2012 series had Seth Green as Leo in the first place. Jason Biggs was good, but Seth was just better.

In terms of voice actors who voiced Leonardo It would have to be Cam Clark, Brian Tochi, various actors who voiced him throughout the 2012 TMNT, such as Seth Green, Ben Schwartz and Nicolas Cantu.

This maybe an unpopular opinion, but I have three favorite particular performances of Leonardo. The first is Cam Clarke from the 1987 animated series, my second is Nicolas Cantu from Mutant Mayhem as well as the upcoming film sequel and Tales of the TMNT, and Ben Schwartz from Rise of the TMNT. Of the three, I’d say that Schwartz is my favorite performance. Not only has he voiced other blue clad characters, but his charismatic charm and witty personality always puts a smile on my face! I should also give him credit for giving Leo a serious edge to his voice role in the 2022 Netflix movie since the plot is dark while maintaining the light hearted tone and nature of the show, particularly during the climax with the Krang. That Leo had a drastic change of character arcs, which is spectacular! Looking forward to see voice roles of Donnie, Raph, April, and Splinter! Loved the Mikey one by the way! Well done as always, Dave! 😁👍💙

I’d actually argue Michael as the best Leo cause while a lot of Leo’s hit a lot of the stuff you’re supposed to with Leo none of them had to do an arc like Leo’s depression arc from season 4. The writing is also great but it’s Michael’s performance that elevated it to one of the best in the series and one of the best character arcs of the franchise.
