Trust me, this is actually a good thing. Because with one additional IP on the playing field, plus the fact that Shrek will now be in close proximity with Ice Age 6, it means that the Great 2026 Animation War has just become even more exciting. And I’m sure that Shrek will still get plenty of respect once it’s release date gets closer (a lot more than Dog Man I can tell you that much lol 😂), so I see this as an absolute win

What will happen with The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 releasing in April 2026 with Minions 3 now releasing in July 2026? If they don't delay The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 to 2027 and keep it in 2026, next year will be the third year that Illumination released two movies in one year. Ice Age 6 is also going to have some serious direct competition with Shrek 5 now releasing in December 2026, since Ice Age 6 is also going to be coming out in December 2026.

Isn't this going to rush Illumination on doing anything else? Not that I am against the Minions or anything, but I admittedly think this is a kind of dumb move since they could've just stuck with one DreamWorks sequel first before doing a Minions movie with Illumination. And speaking of Cameron Diaz, she might not have spoken out lately because of the recent Jeffrey Epstein list that somehow had her name on it. I just can't get over the fact that her name was on that list despite having not heard any articles coming out saying she's okay with collaborating with someone who is obviously a child predator/pedophile. I found it hard to believe since I don't believe she did anything wrong to deserve being on the list.

Yaaaaaaaaaay. I always hated Shrek and I love minions so this is a good thing for me :) Shrek 5 is unnessasary anyway… 4 was the final chapter for a reason. Why is Shrek 5 ok but Toy Story 5 isn’t?

The UK is going to probably have a 2027 release the reason I'm saying this, as Dreamwork films then to come a month or weeks later. E.g.: Puss In Boots The Last Wish came out in December 2022 whereas, the UK had a 3rd February 2023 release date. KFP4 was released early March whereas, the UK had an 28th March release.

I really like his role in Kingdom Hearts. I think he's particularly fun when he's a villain, but also not the big villain, and sometimes even seems to be in over his head.
