Who would try and blame the fire fighters? The conditions they were in to try to save whom ever they could were horrible. And knowing they couldn’t help, probably haunts them every day. They need to be praised.

That's what I am wondering also, she even told them she was visiting her parents but they never thought of getting her name?. Usually when rescuers arrive the first thing they usually ask a victim is "what is your name". So this really bothers me that they didn't get her name.

Blame the corrupt, closed minded HOA that kept kicking the can down the road on repairs needed. All comes down to one thing, and one thing only. Money! They didn't want to spend it.

yes but i like to think sometimes we go through things like this at moments of death because it makes it easier to let go and move on to new lessons after you've done everything you were meant to do in this life. but there's no way to know for sure how it all works exactly because the universe is convoluted. but its nice to imagine everything works in harmony and for a reason.

Why didn't they ask her, her name? Usually when you are comforting someone, you personalize your communication by using their name. I'm not saying this as a criticism, that event was so extreme and beyond comprehension for even professionals trained in search and rescue.

This is horrific for everyone. The firefighters who are risking their lives listening for these people call for help and the people trapped. The horror to accidentally set ablaze the person you’re trying to save. Breaks my heart so much for everyone

😢 I can only imagine what they saw . And having to fight through debris and live electrical wire, they dig day and night, I pass by the ground zero 😔 to work almost every night. It’s still unreal

I would be believe they did know, but decided not to to reveal her name, because of a possible lawsuit cause they burned the woman alive. They should had let the topos from Mexico handle it. They did not know how they rescued people in Mexico and became experts, stupid people.

I think she had just flown in that night.. I can't. Wrap my head around this..I'm sure there were other ppl still alive.. I'm in weston, I 'think' her parents owned a store on Main street here..I may be wrong.. As a nurse, in ICU, I know the feeling of trying diligently to save a life , and then having to eventually let it go. Kudos to all who tried♡ .Im so sorry to the families...We sent clothes and toiletries down last summer.Praying for ur peace..

This is so sad. Infuriating. When are the building inspectors and owners going to be hanged for all the innocent lives they got killed? The hangings should be aired on public television as a message that real estate profits do not take priority over human lives.

True, and there's no way that she was the only person who was still alive at that point. At least she got to hear kind human voices that were giving her some hope of being rescued before she died, and surely felt at least a little less alone than anyone else alive who either couldn't speak or wasn't heard.

I find it unbelievable unfathomable that the firefighters would tried to be blamed while doing everything in their power working in extremely unstable dangerous and potentially deadly environments! There are those situations such as this collapse that conditions go beyond the capability of humanity and equipment. The firefighters apparently did all they could do considering trying to rescue while enduring toxic, unstable collapsed structural components, potential explosive atmosphere, and dangerous obstacles, unfortunately the firefighters just couldn't complete the successful rescue. So sorry for all the losses in the horrific tragedy!!!

They didn't die due to slow rescue. Shame on you for saying that. They died due to overwhelmingly impossible conditions that courageous heroes endured, and put their own lives in danger through, to do the very best they could to save as many people as possible.

@@tampazeke4587 Families were very frustrated, it was all over the news last year and you can still see several articles on Google. I didnt blame anyone in my original comment. I only said rescue was slow. It was slow by extreme weather, fires, safety concern, improper equipment, etc. So many people trapped underneath died a slow death.

@@tampazeke4587 Yes they did, and it was because of authorities who didn't allow a more quick rescue knowing there were people alive in there trapped! Mexico's "Topos" (earthquake rescue team for trapped people in buildings) came all the way to help and these idiots didn't allow them to help out in rescue operations, saying the mexican team didn't have all the "US certifications", FORGET THE STUPID CERTIFICATIONS, THERE'S PEOPLE TRAPPED INSIDE ALIVE!

Let's all go to our local fire stations and ask what equipment is needed and get that to them asap everybody will put up money for that and it's easy to raise money as well cookouts carwash baking etc so many ways to raise the money needed for every community in the USA and every country the same ❤ love to all ✌

A Horrendous Tragedy that could of probably been prevented if the Owner & Company would of fixed these & the Vilolations & Problems that this Condo had that was not fixed. 98 Poor People Perished. Excuse me? Why does it matter? It matters for the family members. When you lose someone in such a tragic way, you need to know and for some, the need to know is overwhelming, you want to be told what your loved ones went thru, what exactly their last minutes were like. I am sure she would have wanted for her family to know that she was fighting for her life til her very last breath. It matters!

Carbon monoxide? Because it took firefighters too long? This is absolutely heartbreaking breaking, my condolences to all the friends and families who lost a loved one ☹️

Id like to know, from the cops bodycam releases, which cop stood there on his phone and completely ignored a womans screams and cries. Ik they werent allowed to enter to rescue at that time but how can u just completely disregard someone's pleas like that and not have the decency to at least verbally communicate with her. It enraged me. I remember when first responders were heroes and ran into danger. Now they just direct traffic and bark orders at shocked and confused victims.

If the Florida state authorities had allowed the Mexican "Topos" help out even if they weren't "US certified", there would of been a chance for her to still be alive, because there would of been more hands to help out in the removing of debris. But as usual, US officials always with their exaggerated lame requirements🙄

I can’t believe that there was 20 fire fighters just standing there… that’s the mess up. I understand that they were risking the pile collapsing but I believe they should of risked it and went at digging with full force. Use the excavator and everything. What could be worse than letting everyone suffer? I truly believe there were more survivors who suffered until the very end. I just hope it wasn’t as long as I think it was.
