Crazily talented singer. I have never seen a singer who is as versatile as him. He is great in rap, opera,ballads, acoustic, rock and likes to mix different genres in one single performance. I always rate Hua, Dimash and Sohyang as the top 3 singers/performers in Asia.

A singer who was born to express his emotions musically, his vocal performance was very powerful, and his entire body language matched the power of his singing perfectly. Hua Chen Yu can master different singing styles, even if the same song, each time he sings, he can bring a different feeling to everyone. One of the few Chinese artists who keeps rock (influenced songs) alive, while he strives for new music. Because he said and knows most people think ‘old music’ is/was better than most modern music. He wanted to create music that represents this generation so this generation has it’s ‘own’ music. He does all kinds of music styles and changes from music style every year. If you go down his albums and performances throughout the years, you’ll see he does different kinds of music styles. His music keeps evolving as we might speak. Really want to go to his concert day, his concerts are so amazing (and different from other singers). He is really a different kind of person, which to me is amazing. Some people find him odd, so it’s mostly either you really love him or you don’t. People who follow him are big fans, but respectable compared to most other idol fanbases.

Hua Hua (Hua Chenyu's nickname ) is my favorite artist. He is one of the most versatile and unique artist in the world. He is a great song writer too. His music has no boundaries. He can handle many different genres such as rock, rap, pop music, classical music, ballad, opera, jazz, reggae etc. His voice can change to different tones just like water blending into music. It's hard to predict how his next performance will be. He is a soul singer because his emotional expression is so real. Each performance he is really into the music and his body language is excellent. He is the king of the stage. Hope you can react to him more to find the other sides of him. Thanks !

He is a fabulous singer / song writer/ multi-instrumentalist! Like Dimash he tends to mostly compose the music and he finds a writer to write the lyrics with...he also considers his voice as an instrument and thus & composes accordingly...he is a musical genius! Just Like Dimash has his Dears, Hua Hua ( his family name doubled as his nickname by his fans) has his " martians" ... Any time you react to anything from Hunan TV during their show season of the Singer. You will probably get blocked...regardless of whether it's songs from older seasons or brand new...so pay attention to when the active season is playing!! Look for his songs from the Singer 2018 season...do them in order first! They give a good overview of his creative progression of his exploration and experience of the Singer show in 2018...The song you just reacted to is from this yr 2020 so mostly likely will be pulled...will post a list later for you!

Thank you!!!! You can check with Hua Fan Subs FB page they have many of his songs subtitled. You can check with them. You have his performance right spot on, this was all improvised as he did not have time to rehearse, ( you can see his cell phone in his pocket at the start) The middle section was improvised and even his face changed with the softer music. (The story is he had a white leather jacket that was stolen- his clothes are another part of the story and just as important as the music.) ( his name is wha -Hua Chen yu ) ( I could write a book on what I feel about his singing and he is a performance artist. This was SINGER 2020 a competition. He sang only original songs this year all written by him but he has a Lyricist as he said he cannot male words sound poetic but he can write and arrange music....a shoe called THE NEXT...he is given a song and has 24 hrs to rewrite the song. I will find some kind to those songs, some are great! He also did a newer version of BULLFIGHTING. an unplugged version of Code Contra from the Next, Contra in the Wild unplugged, like a spaghetti western song with big round dark sunglasses with his friend and he can whistle amazing, He sang US a very sad love song, just into the camera, Then he wrote a song for the pandemic in Wuhan, where his Family is from, called YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE The rest are: I REALLY WANT TO LOVE THIS WORLD SACRED TREE ARRIVAL MADHOUSE a duet with Chris Li WESTGATE BOYS ... all Rap SEVEN PERSONALITIES (Sorry this is long) The sings he wrote last year; Conversations With ET’s (He was told he was from Mars and an Alien in s competition called Super Boy in 2013 because he sang a song without lyrics) I Really Want to Love This World Sacred Tree A NEW WORLD Madhouse Seven Personalities At the Mars Concerts last year he addressed Depression. He was on SINGER 2018 and a sang some songs with quite a few different genres in one song,, he knows Chinese Opera, he did not but he can dance His MARS CONCERTS are major events, he pays for the buses to transport people to the stadiums, In 2017 he did a concert in The Birds Nest Stadium in Beijing which holds 90,000 & he did 2 consecutive nights. He is one person controlling the audience and usually they sing together, he plays the Piano for them and he stated out at 23 and his voice was not quite as good as it is now. At the end of Jackdaw Boy, he gives this stellar performance, takes the mic stand away and it pulls apart. His charm is that he is fierce on stage and then is goofy, stuffs good into his mouth until he gets chipmunk cheeks and eats ice cream a lot. (He will fast when he needs to sing, he said it keeps his throat clear) and yes, his voice is very powerful. I just heard from Fansubs a song called Folding, like a Gregorian Chant, no lyrics was played at an Art Exhibit with some very modern Dancers and the Art itself is large room size panels. He said at lady year’s Mars Concerts that 5 years had passed since his debut and this is a new Era, I think more original and experimental music. He is a very hot commodity and represents many brands, he models the best clothes, had the best tasteful jewelry, representing Cartier now. It is highly unlikely he will ever travel to tour off the Mainland but it is not that difficult to get to a Mars Concert, oh, he designs the stages and conception of the lighting which matches any light show here. Again, sorry this was long, he is a complex artist, composer, singer. Thst is only one Hua Hua and no one even looks like him now. Very individual.

Hua Chen Yu. The Hua is surname, Chen Yu is given name. Normally the chinese always put the surname in front of the given names due to the surname represent the family, always be first. Teacher had give a great comment to him, this is his proud. Thanks.

His fans call him Hua Hua (wa wa or flower flower). No need to categorize the music, he uses the style that is right for the music. The Singer seems to crack down on reactions every year during their current season run. The 2020 Series is now over, so perhaps you won't have any problems for a while. This season was eerie, because after the first few episodes, they started the quarantine and had no live audience. The Japanese contestant sent her video in from Japan, and one singer performed his songs in his bedroom. Just say Hu and ah closer together without hanging onto the first syllable so it sounds more like Wha. Like Dimash, he has a huge range. p.s. He's done a lot of interesting duets. "Perhaps Love" is Broadway style. "Idiot" and "Nanping Evening Bells" are wonderful to watch, too.

Some informative background: 😉 Huahua is super talented & powerful in stage performances, he's cute n shy in person, he is adorkable n can be nerdy (he's a "stay at home" kind of guy), n he LOVES to eat, food lures him LOL! However he has a painful, lonely & fearsome childhood as his parents were divorced when he was 2, and his father was always away for business, and he was left with different nannies or maids who were strangers to him so he always chased them away (makes me think of Hollywood movie "The Nanny Diaries"), hence when little he yearned for love yet fearful and rejective, he felt alone and unsafe that he slept with a toy gun. He feared to go to school to meet people he just hided in his room playing his own music. Though his grades were good, his dad has never given him a single praise until he won first in a tv singing competition. Someone lured him to the city with FOOD where the competition was held to "tricked" him to join it. He went for interview, got selected and shortly wanted to quit as he can't cope with facing constant cameras and so many audiences, the producers all rushed over to counsel him that he can still have his freedom and be himself, which he later concurred as he's the "stay at home" kind of person so being a public figure makes no difference to his way of life. Eventually he won first in the competition and that's how he started his career in the entertainment industry, and that was also the first time his dad praised him. He was so happy that he claimed winning first is nothing compared to his dad's praise. Music has let him expressed his emotions and healed himself along the way and he's a man of deep thoughts like a philosopher, he is also spiritual and does meditation. Once a tarot card reader and a monk read that he's a spiritual man like a hermit, he sort of agrees n then declares he ever thought of becoming a monk back then when he finished high school, n all the fans were shocked LOL 😂🌸🌸
