Fun fact: the recording of the song had to stop several times cuz mj really cried during the sessions. In the end you can hear him actually cry on the record. He never told in public who he was thinking about during singing the song but the actual writer of the song wrote it when his wife left him

I love how you enjoy Michaels voice and music. He’s always been my number one artist of all time, this song has always touched my soul. Michaels voice is instantly recognisable and his tone is just stunningly beautiful. He only has to sing a few lines and you know exactly who it is. The only other song that makes me cry like this one, is George Michaels performance of ‘I can’t make you love me’ on Parkinson, gives you goosebumps
