Thanks for the video - I love seeing Taylor's vocals being given the respect they deserve. If you haven't seen Don't Blame Me from the Reputation Tour, you absolutely MUST. It's one of her best vocal performances imo. Also, Death By a Thousand Cuts and Cornelia Street from the City of Lover concert!

her eras tour vocals are just out of this world! i recommend reacting to some surprise songs from the tour specifically exile, labyrinth, evermore, untouchable, and castles crumbling! her vocals are just phenomenal!

Are the good things she does--like shaping the mouth, relaxing, getting air--conscious? Would she have picked that up through experience or do you have to learn those things as a student of singing? Thanks!

This is a great question! These are things we train in voice lessons. It is possible to learn aspects of this through repetitive practice and building awareness, but typically these skills develop with voice training. There's a taylor myth that when she was criticized early in her career for her singing badly, she went out and got singing lessons. She owns it!
