Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 Whether you are a believer in reincarnation or not, I find it very intriguing that Lou Rawls, the American Jazz & blues singer legend, passed away the same day Angelina is born 😊 Loved your reaction!!!

Thank you for reacting to Angelina. I discovered her about 1 1/2 years ago and have listened to every one of her 116 covers, 3 originals and 1 written for her. I have also watched all the behind the scenes videos from her fan club. She is my favorite singer of all time and is the most versatile & emotive singer I've ever seen and I am 72. There are singers that can match her in a particular song or genre, but there is no singer I know of that can match her across all genre (except opera & rap) which she doesn't do. She has done so many songs & English is her third language, so you will see her reading the lyrics off her phone in many of her performances. How she can convey such emotion on the fly, never ceases to amaze me. Her voice has a calming effect & many say it is like a drug. I totally agree and can't get through a day without listening to her. With respect to age, I believe she was a great child singer from 6-9, but by 9 or 10 you can drop the "child" part and compare her to singers of any age. Her performances by 11 or 12 are in a class of her own & she just keeps getting better. The other thing that is so amazing about her is she can totally change her voice to fit whatever song she is doing. I get a kick out of new reactors to her saying "her voice has changed" on their second or third reaction. No, she changed her voice for that particular song & she has many. To me she is the "Angel of 1000 Voices," others call her the "Song Improver" since most of her recent covers are better than the originals & others refer to her as "Norway's Barefoot Angel" for helping orphans. My favorite performance is her cover of Adele's "A Million Years Ago" when she was 12. There are about 20 others that are vocal masterpieces that are tied for a close second place. Welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan & it's a beautiful world.

And because Angelina is new to you and maybe some of your followers, I always like to share my little bio on her, so that you can get to know her a little... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 13 (7 in this performance) - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through KZbin videos and started studying all the greats from Jazz history. - Angelina always sings barefoot..... When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. (that's a shortened version. the full story is more touching than the way I have told it here). When Angelina was 9 years old she wrote a book about the story that can be purchased on her website. (angelinajordanofficial) - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 100 songs over the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, and many more. All of which heard her covering their songs and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

Thank you for your reaction on our Singing Angel if you you were surprised by this .. boy you will for sure be shocked every time you listen to her as her Voice changes for every song she sings no matter what Song Genre or Artist she takes on she always manages to make it her own but never the same, as you mentioned she somehow adapts her Voice so the song not the other way around as most singers do.. Can't wait for you to take a deep-dive into more of her stuff. She is astonishingly good. You will find that she is way beyond mimicking other singers; although she can copy the vocal inflections quite well. She is also plays piano, flute and violin. I so envy you the start of your Angelina journey. I have loved all musical genres for as long as I can remember. My Dad used to sing us to sleep when we were young. He had a beautiful voice. My favorite song was “Frankie and Johnny” Sunday mornings I was up before everyone to listen to Mahalia Jackson sing gospel on the radio. I thought Janis Joplin had a beautiful soul who was a deeply hurt little girl inside. There have been so many amazing singers, male and female, in the last 100 odd years but Angelina is unique and her soul has affected me in ways I’m simply incapable of articulating. Thanks for your reaction. She has done about a hundred covers and three originals, but it sounds like you have got lots of recommendations already. It looks like she and her family intend to step up her exposure next year. Rumours has it that she is working on an album with only originals and that she is part of AGT Champions which is being recorded now and showed early next year (fairly detailed leaks which are easy to find if you want to read them). This will probably be the last year she is our "secret".

Gloomy Sunday is one song that a kid like her should not be singing in any competition. The song is heavily charged with dark emotions that it is impossible for a kid to sell the song. But here Angelina broke that rules... And she sang it like she's an old soul who lives many years of her life. This is one rare moment when what you see and what you hear contradict each others. Its only roughly 5 years since this performance. 😊 Angelina has grown so much in the span of 5 years. Not only physically (she's a height of a supermodel now at 13) ...but more so when it comes to her music. Since from this age she's already performing at a very high level. With her overflowing passion for music and the God gift talent she already possesses one should know that this young lady is destined for something far greater. "I`m a Fool to want you" is a short version that she sing a`capela in NGT. She did also the same song on her CD from last year as she was 11 og 12. She does it wonderfully in both versions, but you may see how far she has come from 7/8 to 12. Her songs from the CD are in YT as she held a cd-releesconsert in Oslo in june 2018, wich where uploaded on YT.

Good idea to start from the beginning with her, her story is kind of best when told from the beginning. Weirdly enough, she is pretty equally amazing at any age you’ll here her. From her earlier work, besides the other songs at Norway got talent, you should find “at last” and “I’ll be there “. Both recorded at the age of 8. I hope you will continue your journey of discovering Angelina Jordan and for recognising that her voice is unique. She is the only singer, of any age, that I know of who can sing any music genre and interpret the lyrics of a song so emotionally and convey those same emotions to the listener,. To follow her very rapid progression during the months on NGT, do "Bang Bang" next, which by changing the style creates a completely different dynamic from Nancy Sinatra's original. I sometimes wonder if she heard Lady Gaga's version in her concert with Tony Bennett. Then, "Summertime" was her final song. Then, a year later, at nine years old, she recorded "I Put a Spell on You", channeling Screamin' Jack Hawkins original version, when he was drunk some say. She's now got over a hundred covers you can choose from. Enjoy!

It`s a great place to start at the beginning to get to know Angelina, 7 YO. But you may even go farther back. There are som videos on YT from her as 6 or even 5 Yo as she is let in to pro. recording studio for training, and to get familiar with studio rutines, and to get to lisen to herself from pro. recordings. I found that you reesently reacted to KZ Tandingan singing Rolling in the Deep. Quite a show and performans she put on. Point is: Actually Angelina did this song as well in one of these early studiosessions. It`s quite a threet to see her in theese early days, as she gives it her all, and she enjoys at maximum level what she is doing. There is also a video of her doing: " I; - Who have nothing", in the Tom Jones style. Really recomendable videos, as a threet for yourself or even for reacting videos. Her voice is PHENOMENAL no doubt but whoever manages her did her a great disservice in not making sure she knew the words to this song. And it’s clear its not that she’s simply forgotten the words and is mumbling thru it -she fills in the spaces with words that are _similar_ - but that she’s just not aware of what the right words are. Not her fault at all-again, her manager (even momma) should’ve made sure she knew before her feet touched the stage. You can’t croon to the tune of Billie H and not know the words 😏The performance would’ve been knocked out of the park had she been given more time 👌🏻

I am curious... have you ever met a 7 year old? You seem to be hung up on a couple words, and totally missed the point here. This is a little girl that doesn't even have her teeth yet capturing the essence of an artist born nearly a hundred years before her.... in a language that is not her native tongue.... live in front of hundreds of people. If you go back just a bit further and listen to her do an acappella version of, 'I'm A Fool To Want You'. She starts it with no tuning pipe or help from a piano key. She just launches into it and never goes pitchy, or loses the beat. This was my first introduction to Angelina. Please do this you will thank me for it. Remember she is just 7!!

rusty i always thought I'm a fool to want you came first.. and from the reaction of the judges it seems that way, because on gloomy sunday they already knew what they were getting and that she was going to be the winner. .but on fool to want you they were more thought ful and analytically minded . also , her front teeth look more developed in gloomy sunday. basicallh i always judge her age by her dental development.

If you look at her two front teeth in 'gloomy' video (especially the extended one where they are interviewing her before) , you can clearly see the one on the left is not in yet (or just barely poking out). In 'fool', the left tooth has grown in almost half way. It is definitely after... by at least a couple months

What a good idea to react to Angelina at the age of 7. The more the prodigies are young, the more obvious it is the spontaneous knowledge. They did not have time to learn, but they know. Of course, there are a lot of "cute little kids" trying to sing (I've listened to hundreds of them), but there are very few who really do. Angelina is wonderful. 😊 My favorites from her are "I put a spell on you" (which I think she did when she was 9 or 10 years old), and "A Million Years Ago" (an Adelle cover she did at - I think - at 12 or 13.) Another request of another artist - I know that you've reacted to Diana Ankudinova already, but I don't think you've seen her absolutely best peformance (by quite a bit): Rechenka. People ALWAYS react to the english language songs of hers (understandably), and often skip on "Rechenka", to their loss. It's seriously one of the best live performances of any artist, any song, any genre, I've ever seen. It also is a much better demonstration of her vocal ability tha the other songs she's done. Your life will never be the same. The worst mistake you can make about Angelina is to think of her as a child singer. She does not sing like a child, she does not have a child's voice, she does not perform like a child, she does not make you feel like a child would. She came out of God's hands fully formed, a tiny musical genius right from the start. You THINK you're shocked and amazed now. You will find that while she may have "learned" from the original singer, she isn't "mimicking" anyone; that is all her. She was 7 in this and is 13 now, with over 100 different songs up on KZbin. You have no idea what you just tripped over.

Even more impressive, if we follow the Billie Holiday theme, she did "I'm a Fool To Want You" a capella to qualify for the latter stages of Norske Talenter. However, she is an entirely different proposition now that she is discovering her own voice - or voices. You would need to have a heart of granite to remain unmoved by some of her performances. Her supreme confidence when she sings is so at odds with her personality, where she has seemed very ill-at-ease whenever I've seen her in interview situations. I guess that's what you'd get from any pre-teen phenomenon.

I first discovered Angelina Jordan Astar when she first participated in Norway's got talent 2014, when she was 7 and 8 years old.
