The reason people say Beyonce can't sing is because they have a hard time accepting someone who has such strong "entertainer" skills, also has vocal skills, and that's quite rare. If she just stood there like a Celine or a Mariah, she wouldn't get such bias opinions.

It is very common to have vibrato in your voice if you were raised going to church (especially in the black culture and in the south). It's different from vibrato that comes with classical training, mostly because of the the vowels I think. But popular music is so heavily influenced by R&B, hip-hop, and gospel these days, that it's not a surprise that it's more acceptable now. And yes, Beyoncé has become a beast in her vocals as well as on stage. Anyone who says she's overrated is not looking at her abilities objectively, as u stated. Or they're just jealous 🤷🏾‍♀️
@lilsouth01
@lilsouth01 3 жыл бұрын
Everybody vibrato is different and it just has to be contolled, but your vibrato is the same singing any song, depending on if the vibrato is to be fast medium or slow, which is were control comes in. 💯💯💯 They can actually identify a person from their vibrato bc everybody vibrato is different. #Voice101
@HanaRosePrevious
@HanaRosePrevious 3 жыл бұрын
Totally! Although I noticed on her recent albums esp the one with Jay Z (Everything is love) she did more talk singing/rap singing and less vibrato and held notes. But I hate that minimal pop sound with zero vocal dynamics so who cares if it's not "pop" to use vibrato... Lol but meanwhile Rihanna is a hugely successful pop star more mainstream sounding than bey and yet she has such a distinctive vibrato Also!

I love Beyoncé, she puts in the work. She knows she has talent, but she sought out to better it. Dance lesson, vocal lessons, all of it. She always try to elevate herself despite already being at the top, and she never settles (typical Virgo). She actually cares about her work, which is something I feel like this newer generation of artist are lacking. I remember when I was little and I didn’t know who she was (I’m 15 for reference), I used to tell my mom “Mommy play the song that the lady with the golden voice sings” cause I always thought she had an amazing rich voice. People can call “overrated” (bullshit) all they want. She has the talent and work ethic and the sales to prove them wrong. Awesome reaction btw!
