Even if she's pitchy for like, what, a split second?, she has an AMAZING pitch. I always sort of come back to this video of hers, rehearsing 1+1 backstage, and I just can't believe her ear and overall ability and sense of musicality. And I loved that concluding "I like Beyoncé" at the end, like what else there is to say, right?

You can get away with a lot as a singer especially in this sort of intimate setting. Not that it was really noticeable except to someone trying to critique her in an unfeeling robotic away instead of enjoying her emotional heart-felt and beautiful delivery. Anyway, It actually brought a sense of vulnerability, connectiveness and honesty with the intended audience. Nevermind, her overall performance here was absolutely fantastic and to top it all off with a smile that could melt cold steel. Yeah Sam she got me too.

I’ve never heard anyone discredit Beyoncé as a vocalist. Literally never. I’m sure people do, they’re obviously trolls. That said, while she’s clearly technically excellent, I don’t always *feel* Beyoncé’s vocals, like she’s detached emotionally from the song she’s singing. I feel that with the recorded version of this song which consequently seems bland, but this live version the exact opposite, this is nice.

I love your reaction and analysis of Beyonce, you do such a nice job of explaining the behind the scenes world of singing and Beyonce is my fav singer in the world so it is so cool to understand a bit of how this master works. Please do more Beyonce, they other Beyonce video you did is "blocked in my country".

Love how you get into the nitty gritty of the anatomy and notes. For someone like me, who doesn’t really have a musical education, I find it interesting and helpful as I explore my own voice.

FINALLY!! She fills the room with the power of her voice! So raw and emotive, supported, resonant, dynamic, perfect pitch, hitting the perfect notes and that too while being seated! Not a lot of singers these days can do this that’s why B is a Star rated vocalist. People who say she needs autotune WATCH THIS!

This is bonkers I randomly woke up with Halo in my head and had the thought "It'd be rad if Sam covered that one time Beyonce absolutely slayed Halo while casually sitting down" and magically you post this video the same day. Awesome stuff.

If it’s a non-formal occasion, I will deliberately clap on the other beat just to annoy and confuse people, mostly because they don’t know which one they’re clapping themselves. I am a very bored person.

I've been taught by Natalie Weiss before, in London workshop, so hearing you say she has one of the best voices on youtube makes me happy, :) I'm also a professionally trained singer/songwriter/vocal coach and I like how you are being very fair to the singers and just great feedback in general loving your channel so far!

This was gold. I loved watching you stanning Beyoncé. Literally same every time I watch / listen to her sing, except I have no idea what she’s technically doing with her voice. I just know it’s a blessing to my ears.

If she didn't use dynamics and didn't increase volume, the whole performance would lose intention and it would sound boring. It's like when we speak to someone and we raise our voice. We don't NEED TO, but we feel like doing it, to express that feeling. Same with singing. Not always louder means worse technically.

One of the most talented teachers/reactors out there. You give your 100% and tells us all the little secrets. I bet thats also why people dont like your channel with the dislikes. Not just 1 spesific song but overall. A free lesson of getting better at what you are doing. Thats why i love your channel Sam. Thanks buddy.

I am not a singer, but I’ve watched two of your videos just now and now I have a greater appreciation for how much technique goes into the art. Your knowledge and technical assessments are phenomenal. Probably doesn’t mean much coming from a non-singer, but your analysis makes me feel like I’ve learned so much! Your videos are great. I love when you break in and explain what we are hearing! And, you’re just positive energy. Love the shout outs and shivers you get for what you love!
