Even if she's pitchy for like, what, a split second?, she has an AMAZING pitch. I always sort of come back to this video of hers, rehearsing 1+1 backstage, and I just can't believe her ear and overall ability and sense of musicality. And I loved that concluding "I like Beyoncé" at the end, like what else there is to say, right?

You can get away with a lot as a singer especially in this sort of intimate setting. Not that it was really noticeable except to someone trying to critique her in an unfeeling robotic away instead of enjoying her emotional heart-felt and beautiful delivery. Anyway, It actually brought a sense of vulnerability, connectiveness and honesty with the intended audience. Nevermind, her overall performance here was absolutely fantastic and to top it all off with a smile that could melt cold steel. Yeah Sam she got me too.

I’ve never heard anyone discredit Beyoncé as a vocalist. Literally never. I’m sure people do, they’re obviously trolls. That said, while she’s clearly technically excellent, I don’t always *feel* Beyoncé’s vocals, like she’s detached emotionally from the song she’s singing. I feel that with the recorded version of this song which consequently seems bland, but this live version the exact opposite, this is nice.

I LOVE this video! I saw this a few years ago and it made me look at Beyonce in a whole new light. I love the rawness and realness. Watch the whole video if you can, it’s touching.
