A lot of videos you see of him, even as a young student, he sings in front of a full wall mirror. His mother said that he also sings when playing sports and lying on his bed so that he can practice control in different situations and I guess positions.

I first heard this song at an Alla Pugachova concert in Russia , about 22 years ago and was totally impressed and still have her cd of this concert. Many years I sang this song(i'm no singer) but in my head it was beautiful sounding to me. I even whistled the tune or hummed it often. Then along came DIMASH in 2018; I had already been a fan of DIMASH and looked for songs to listen to by him, and found this song, and I was totally carried away by it, as he took it to another level. I wasn't surprised when I heard several known Russian singers state on Russian tv shows they would not be singing this song anymore; because DIMASH had done all that could be done and raised it to a level no one else could improve upon. I fully understand what they meant. It touches me every time I listen to it.

Please don’t ever think, just because you are Russian that it means you have anything to do with what one insane Russian leader does. Many beautiful Russian people also hate what those in power do. I feel sorry if people make you feel that way. Dimash loves people from all races and nationalities because as he says there are good and bad in every race. The common Russian people are suffering too. Take care my fellow Dimash dear, be as happy as your circumstances allow and immerse yourself in Dimash’s voice. I just have to see his face, his smile @nd hear his voice and it helps me escape the horrors of this insane world for just a little while 💕

As an American, I wish the world to know that if we blame anybody, most of us blame Russia's leaders and their minions for the attrocities but we do not blame the bulk of the Russian people who undoubtedly are not happy with such leaders themselves. I trust that Russians and other people around the world who have any sense also blame what's currently going on in America, not on true Americans but on our current leadership and their hatefilled loud mouthed minions, many of which are not even American citizens but illegals who are taking advantage of the current leadership's unAmerican, unBiblical, unGodly, idiotic and dangerous policies.

Love is Like a Dream I see myself in your eyes as if in a mirror I fear losing my reflection in them I don’t wish you to be only a guest In the twilight of my nights and in my destiny I love you, as one loves only once in a lifetime As though not even the sun didn’t exist until we came From worries and upsets you’ve kept me away And you’ve found for me the keys to happiness For me you’ve found Love resembles a dream The crystalline sound of the heart Your mystery I love And I repeat the quiet echo Love resembles a dream You’ve brought happiness to my home But in contrast to a dream Let it never end I forgive the loneliness and sadness You told me I would never return to them As occurs only in a dream Now we have only love I am in your eyes and I will not lose you I won’t give love only to separate It is priceless And in its dream This happiness deserves to be with you To be always with you Love resembles a dream The crystalline sound of the heart Your mystery I love And I repeat the quiet echo Love resembles a dream You’ve brought happiness to my home But in contrast to a dream Let it never end Love resembles a dream You’ve brought happiness to my home But in contrast to a dream Let it never end (lyricstranslate)

Wonderful reaction! This is definitely one of my all-time favorites from Dimash. It's so light and delicate, but full and rich at the same time. If you're not paying very close attention, it's easy to miss a lot of the tiny nuances he's applying throughout the entirety of this song. As you said, this is a masterpiece. FYI: Igor Krutoi composed this piece the same year Dimash was born. He allowed Dimash to reconstruct it to his liking, and this is the end result. Amazing!!!

He sure knows how to work an audience. It seems that he has total control from start to finish, and plays, like an insturnent, with their emotions, hearts,... even memories for the older folks, but he does it respectfully. Young people will understand what he's saying, but it can't grab at experiences they haven't had yet. I highly recommend his "Love of Tired Swans." if not next, soon. Your reactions are a joy to watch. Wishing you the best. 😀

imash is to voice what Michelangelo is to art. The world does not have a recorded artist that has ever been as capable in all forms of vocal interpretation. As a Doctor of musical arts and science, it is my humble opinion that Dimash is a gift long-awaited and in need by the world. Aware or not, Dimash is far more than an entertainer, he is a healer for those in desperate need of reconnection. Perfect resonance, perfect balance in an unbalanced world.

Some dimash songs that did Not use his higher Voice: marigold, My swan, if I never breathe again, mahabbat her magan. But I so Love his song which was so underrated The “I only Love you”. As a muslim he will actually consider it to be blasphemous to be referred to as an angel or any other heavenly being. I do understand what you mean but we need to be mindful of how we express our admiration. ❤

I think in response to the comment on Dimash being offended if called an angel because he is Muslim. His music transends religions. There is room for all to compliment in their own way. Remember he had big gold ANGEL WINGS in one of his performances!! He loves & appreciates all people & how much we DEARS love him. Keep religion out of it please. Thank you.
@JustMyOpinion10102 жыл бұрын
@@cherripaynegraham4638 someone compared him to an angel, which is a heavenly being found in both Christianity and Islam, yet you tell me to keep religion out of it? I think that is a little strange, don't you? It doesn't quite work the way you would like it to work in Islam. It has nothing to do with him being tolerant of all people or music transcending religion. Some things is Islam are what is referred to as haram, meaning forbidden. To compare a human to a heavenly being is haram. The wings are those of an eagle, not an angel. Indo realise that this might not fall within your western frame of reference but I'm simply sharing what is taught in Islam. Then she can decide whether she would like to be considerate and sensitive to his faith or not.

If you haven't done Ikanaide yet... it's what I consider to be his grandmasterpiece. The control is impossible to describe. The title lyric, which means "Please don't go," is repeated many many times, and each time, it has a subtly different connotation from its tone and volume and breathiness and demeanor. The composer was in awe.

I think she was referring to him working on songs in a studio. Those are simply recordings that were done within the setting of a studio. Samaltau was at his studio at home and Ikanaide was abroad. He rarely allows people to inteude on his time in his studio. Maks and Erlan said he doesn't like it at all, which is understandable. It is his office after all.

Are there any legitimate human terms to describe what Dimash is creating? Is there any other male singer who approaches this resonant Divine sound quality that as you say can not be taught. I've heard singers who sing fairly high or have a wider than normal range, not as much as DQ, but wider than normal and their tone quality or use of their range isn't of the quality of DQ. THE ANGELIC PART...THAT is NOT A HUMAN VOICE!!! THAT IS A DIVINE BEING! I just think we are witnessing something that is truly of another realm. LUV!! THE REPLAYS!!! 👏 the interesting thing is that each time DQ sings this live that "break" is always there....I doubt it's an in the moment decision. DQ plans every detail of a song. i saw a piece of sheet music with his notes....a million notes all over. He is VERY deliberate. I think that is his conscious choice, for certainly he, if anyone, could do it without a "break".

Another very enjoyable reaction and analysis. I have watched this performance countless times over the past year, and I am still moved to tears each time. This will always be one of my favorite Dimash performances. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this song 25 years ago for Alla Pugacheva and modified it for Dimash to sing for this concert given in honor of Mrs. Pugacheva on April 8, 2019, in Moscow. As you probably already know, Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to compose masterpieces for Dimash after watching his performance of Sinful Passion in 2018. He is finally able to compose music without constraints placed on him by the vocal limitations of ordinary singers; high notes, low notes, whatever his genius mind can conceive, Dimash will be able to perform. Someone explained on another person's page the different elements of the song. There are three sections: In the first and longest, Dimash addresses the audience, describing his dream-like love. In the middle section, Dimash lives the dream. Notice he disengages from the audience; his eyes are closed, then he opens them and looks up. The audience has ceased to exist for him. In the final section, he wakes, notices the audience again, then tells them how the dream made him feel. Which is energized!

After watching your reaction to Love is like a dream, I completely agree with others who have recommended Ikanaide. I have been a Dear for 4 and a half years, and this is my favourite song of Dimash. It is so intimate, just Dimash and a microphone. No band or orchestra, no audience, just Dimash. It is the first time he has sung in Japanese, and as usual, sounds so natural. This song has everything, and feels like he is giving you his heart. I would love to hear your reaction 💙 xx

It’s always only been women singers that can make me tear up when I hear them sing.. this man’s voice is truly POWERFUL and GODLY 🥺

I wish I could remember how to look it up, but there is a video of Dimash, with one of his vocal coaches that shows him singing in front of a mirror. He was watching his mouth shape, but we know he was wanting to 'see what the audience sees as well'! Lol The Man is a perfectionist for sure. Every aspect of him is scrutinized by Himself!! Thanks for your wonderful analysis, comments and reaction!
