Oh! When you said “it sounds like a whole chorus of angels”, I knew what was coming (the truly angelic vocal!). This is such a beautiful song - among my favourites of Dimash (also Samaltau, Sinful Passion, Ogni Pietra, Daididau, Qaarigan Elian - fine, Dimash could sing the alphabet and I’d fall in love with the performance!).

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. No final do concerto de 7 de março de 2020 em Riga (Letónia), eu pedi aos seguranças para levar uma bandeira de Portugal ao Dimash para ele autografar. Os seguranças foram muito simpáticos e levaram a bandeira. Passados uns minutos apareceu um elemento do staff do Dimash que me disse que não era possível ele assinar a bandeira porque estava de partida para o aeroporto. Deu-me um postal assinado por ele. Fiquei todo contente. E fui também para o aeroporto porque tinha avião às 06:00 da manhã para voltar para Portugal. Cheguei ao aeroporto eram umas 22:30. Eu sabia que o Dimash tinha que ir para o aeroporto, mas imaginei que entrasse por uma porta VIP. Como tinha muitas horas de espera, resolvi deitar-me nos bancos do aeroporto. Por volta das 00:00 acordei com sons de aplausos. Pensei, será que é o Dimash? Olhei para a zona do check-in e vi uma grande multidão. Comecei a caminhar para a zona do check-in. Mais ou menos a 50 metros o Dimash olhou para mim e eu abri os meus braços como a dizer "vais ter que falar comigo". Quando cheguei junto do Dimash (ele estava de máscara) disse-lhe que tinha viajado 8000 km para o ver e ouvir cantar e perguntei-lhe se ele podia tirar uma fotografia comigo. O Dimash nem hesitou um segundo e disse logo "Sure". Saiu do check-in (andou uns 100 metros porque teve que sair pelo lado contrário ao que me encontrava). Quando chegou ao pé de mim, tirou a máscara e sorriu. Tirámos a fotografia. Pedi-lhe uns minutos para lhe dirigir umas palavras (foram aquelas que escrevi no comentário anterior). Enquanto falava, o Dimash esteve sempre em silêncio e a sorrir manifestando um grande respeito por mim. Despedi-me dele e fui a correr para junto da minha mulher que não tinha percebido que eu me tinha separado dela. Quando cheguei junto da minha mulher, ela não queria acreditar que eu tinha tirado uma fotografia com o Dimash. Ela correu imediatamente para o check-in juntamente com uma pessoa amiga que nos tinha acompanhado (fomos 3 de Portugal a Riga para o concerto do Dimash). Quando elas chegaram ao check-in começaram a falar com o Dimash. Uma vez mais ele foi muito generoso e educado com elas. Eu não me intrometi na conversa. Já tinha tido o meu momento com o Dimash e agora era a vez delas. O que fiz foi ir à casa de banho para lavar a cara porque ainda estava meio sob o efeito de ter acordado de repente e ter tido uma experiência meio milagrosa. Quando voltei da casa de banho, a comitiva do Dimash estava a sair do check-in. O pai do Dimash vinha à frente. Por respeito ao pai do Dimash, parei e baixei a minha cabeça. O Dimash ao ver isto saiu do grupo e dirigiu-se a mim (andou talvez uns 10 metros). Agarrou na minha mão direita com as suas duas mãos e disse "Bye sir". Foi uma experiência mística que jamais esquecerei. Com amizade Rui Baptista

@@joeb4142 I'll tell you about my meeting with Dimash. At the end of the concert on March 7, 2020 in Riga (Latvia), I asked security guards to take a Portuguese flag to Dimash for him to sign. The security guards were very friendly and took the flag. A few minutes later, a member of Dimash's staff appeared and told me that it was not possible for him to sign the flag because he was leaving for the airport. He gave me a postcard signed by him. I was all happy. And I also went to the airport because I had a plane at 6:00 am to return to Portugal. I arrived at the airport at about 10:30 pm. I knew Dimash had to go to the airport, but I figured he was going through a VIP door. As I had many hours of waiting, I decided to lie down on the airport benches. Around 00:00 I woke up to applause. I thought, is it Dimash? I looked at the check-in area and saw a large crowd. I started walking towards the check-in area. About 50 meters away, Dimash looked at me and I opened my arms as if to say "you will have to talk to me". When I arrived at Dimash (he was wearing a mask) I told him that I had traveled 8000 km to see and hear him sing and asked him if he could take a picture with me. Dimash didn't even hesitate for a second and said "Sure". He left check-in (walked about 100 meters because he had to leave the opposite side to what I was in). When he reached me, he took off his mask and smiled. We took the picture. I asked him for a few minutes to say a few words (those were the ones I wrote in the previous comment). While he spoke, Dimash was always silent and smiling, showing great respect for me. I said goodbye to him and ran to my wife who had not realized that I had separated from her. When I arrived with my wife, she didn't want to believe that I had taken a picture with Dimash. She immediately ran to check-in along with a friend who had accompanied us (we went 3 from Portugal to Riga for the Dimash concert). When they arrived at check-in they started talking to Dimash. Once again he was very generous and polite to them. I didn't meddle in the conversation. I had already had my moment with Dimash and now it was their turn. What I did was go to the bathroom to wash my face because I was still a little under the influence of having suddenly woken up and had a somewhat miraculous experience. When I returned from the bathroom, Dimash's entourage was leaving check-in. Dimash's father was ahead. Out of respect for Dimash's father, I stopped and bowed my head. Dimash, seeing this, left the group and addressed me (walked maybe 10 meters). He grabbed my right hand with both hands and said "Bye sir". It was a mystical experience that I will never forget. Dear Catherine, this is exactly why I am begging you to keep reacting to Dimash. He has so many different ways to surprise, sometimes even in a different performance of the same song. A GREAT example is the song that he composed as a teenager about a girl he fell in love with at first sight called Unforgettable Day. However the important one to react to is the one at the Gakku festival that had an audience of 150,000. it is the only version that includes an off the piano whistle note of D8. Please react to him more often!! 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

Moreover, I have an issue with the word 'best' when referring to singers, what does that mean exactly? For example, would you suggest Dimash is the best Opera singer that ever lived? The answer is of course no, so how are we comparing different genres? I have no issues with people stating he is their favourite singer, but it's problematical to claim he is the best there's ever been as that's simply untrue.

My record collection of 9,000 LPs, 500 45s and a few hundred 78s that covers music from around the world and from the medieval, renaissance and baroque eras to modern times gives me reason to believe that. He may not be the best opera singer but who else can imitate everything he has recorded so far? And who else, historically, has even attempted it? This is one of my most favourites, though I have so many. It is so special, just makes me melt. It is so easy for those of us with no vocal technique knowledge to not realise how difficult and complicated Dimash’s performances are so I love having it explained. I don’t ever want to take his genius for granted. Or Igor’s for that matter who writes such beautiful masterpieces. You have 3 geniuses together (Dimash, Igor and Erlan, Dimash’s friend who works with him on the musical arrangements) so the results will always be epic.

This is the song where youtube singers/coaches/etc usually realize that Dimash is not just a one-trick crazy mix freak but actually the best vocalist human kind has produced and recorded ever. As a side effect a lot of them start questioning themselves when they learn he's only 26 years old so hopefully that won't stop you from checking out the rest of his performances. Greetings to the owner and guests of this channel. Dimash performed this song beautifully. It is a piece of music where Dimash displays many varying degrees of his voices from lowest to highest. He sang it with life, full of feelings and emotions. This song, Dimash reveals his great and many capabilities as an artist in the musical field. I do not know the story behind the song, but it seems to me it is like a poetry. What really caught my great attention to this song is its own title itself which says: "LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM" . Well if this is only a mere saying so it is ok. But if this is a poem it has a particular meaning. But if this is applies to the reality and truth of our human loving relationship then it has another value and meaning. In my own personal critique and opinion, probably this is true for a teenagers love relationship, since they are still young and have not yet reach the age of maturity , also their relationship is still a transient one. But for a stable kind of love relationship like that of marriage, I supposed this is not possible to live and to do, otherwise it will just create a great confusion and instability to a family. If our love in marriage remains in dreams, I supposed it will create a great problems within the family and it might be the great causes of many break ups and separation among married couples in the society that ends up a great destruction in the families which for me a very sad phenomenon nowadays. The moment we enter into a stable kind of relationship, we also start to pray to God the grace we need in order to live in our lives the true love and realities of our committed life. These things are not possible to do only with our human capacity without the help of Divine intervention. This is the only way and our refuge where we preserve and protect strongly our marriage from the attack of the power of our enemies the devil.
