@@Clamp581 you are indeed correct, just a bummer that in Canada at least, for anyone who isn’t a decently mid to high level weeb, LiSA is a complete blind spot on their musical radar. A schism if you will. Non-existent. Quite the bummer. She has a home on several of my Spotify playlists.

LiSA is quite a noticeable figure when it comes to anime music in general. I recommend her song Homura which is also from the Demon Slayer movie. And yes, this song specifically is a love song to the main character, Tanjiro, and his journey

Japan in its entirety is a treasure trove of talent: there are musicians there that are not worldwide superstars for the only reason they don't sing in english. I would suggest giving a listen to L'Arc-en-Ciel, or Burnout Syndromes, Weaver, Survive said the Prophet, T.M.Revolution, Man with a Mission, Tia, Yosei Teikoku, Mrs Green Apple, Masayuki Suzuki, Eve, Band Maid, Vickelblanka... and these are just a few...

I don't think language is the problem, look at how popular K-Pop is outside of Korea... Japan has great artists and they have musical productions that even at the movie level have nothing to envy Hollywood... issue? Yes, they are very encapsulated with the anime, to the point that any good song is "an anime song" and that's it.
@Moribax852 жыл бұрын
@@SoyGenos and that's a problem how exactly? And about K-pop, look at BTS: they got to worldwide success and what happened? They started making songs in English. The problem is that the music world is anglophone. The record for most paying people in a concert, worldwide, belongs to Vasco Rossi, have you ever heard of him? No, you have not, because he sings in Italian, yet he managed to have a concert with almost 300000 paying spectators.

When I frst heard the song while watching the anime, it made the hairs on my arms stand up. It was just that amazing. Even though I don't know ANYTHING about music or singing, I knew it was a gem by itself with her vocals. Another great song is the new Fruits Basket opening, "Again" by Beverly. Welcome to the club of reacting first time to LiSA's First Take of Gurenge. Every reactor I've seen has always been in awe of her performance. LiSA's been around for more than a decade so she's definitely top tier. Almost all of her singles has always been in the top 10 for Oricon singles chart. I still hold Fate/Zero opening theme, "oath sign" which was actually her solo single in 2011, as my favorite because that's when I got to know about her. That song is underrated as hell and I recommend reacting to it.

Pronunciation tip for Japanese: Vowels: A - mostly like the a in Father, or sometimes a bit higher like Apple. E - a bit similar to the eh, a bit like the e in mesh. I - long E sound. O - like the long O sound. Like Open U - kinda like the the OO sound at the end of "you" but with ungrounded lips. Dipthongs: Pronounced basically as you might expect, just blending one sound into the other over time. Double vowels: Japanese is a Mora timed language, with a Mora representing a sort of "beat" of speech similar to how we use syllables, but with some minor differences. Double vowels just last twice as long as single vowels. Glides: Sometimes you will see combinations like gya, kyu, etc. with a consonant followed by a y. The y is always like "you", "yet", and such. Just knowing these rules should be enough to make reasonably good rendering of Japanese. The only consonant that's particularly of note is R. The Japanese R is a liquid approximant, sometimes realized as a tapped r, sometimes more closely to L. Nobody cares if people avoid trying to pronounce that one right though because it's difficult to get right without practice.

Hey there, just found your video while searching for this gem. And for sure, this lyrics are a perfect match for the Demon Salyer's first season (Tanjiro Kamado, trying to protect his sister, Nezuko, transformed in a demon, while he fights demons and tries to find a way to make her human again: "If I can be strong for someone/ I'll be thankfullto carry all the sadness/ I grasped what meant to protect/While being beaten up by the world") So much emotions knowing the backstory of the anime and hearing the song understanding the lyrics. Great video, man. And for sure a new subscriber from Brazil. Be safe!!

Another Japanese artist I recommend you check out is YOASOBI. This is actually a musical duo and the singer is named Lilas Ikuta. She's really something special, her voice has an incredible clarity and precision and gives the songs a really unique style! You can check them out on the first take as well. Some other impressive singers are Kenshi Yonezu, Queen Bee, Ado, and Aimyon (just some of my personal faves but they are seriously all great). There's a lot to see in the world of Japanese music. Many don't know this, but Japan has the second largest music industry in the world after the USA :) Hope to see you look into it more & enjoy it!

The female singer is Lilas Ikuta. Ayase is the composer. He does sing, but if you are referring to the girl who sings Yoru ni Kakeru and most of their songs, it should be Ikuta.

My favorite line from this song (and especially in this live version) is the line "Dare mo ga shiawase wo negatteru". Specifically on the "shiawase wo" part. The way she so seamlessly pitches her voice up as she goes through that bit of the line gives me chills *every time.* If you were shocked by LiSA knowing English, she actually did a full English version of her song "crossing field" (the opening theme to the first half of the first season of Sword Art Online).
