The difference between Malay singer compare to the Western singer is the focus. Malay tend to focus on story telling while the west on the music itself. Traditionally the Malays look down on female singer. That is why they tend to retrain from belting all the way and tend to pull back a little as a polite gestures even though they know that is what the audience want to hear.

Coz many Malaysian singers like Misha,Ernie,Aina,etc; they're keep learning & practicing for improvement. Even they have experience in singing for years.
