In actuality there are two Original singers of Reflection, one is Lea Salonga wherein she performed the piece that the Character Mulan sung which is a different version from Christina's; and there is Christina's version of Reflection which is the Movie Soundtrack which is why Natalia is right about Christina Aguilera being the original singer of this verion.

Great reaction. Yes she is Mulan. There's no better cover to this version. Period. Great insights, into maybe why Katrina is not bigger than she already is. Makes sense, considering at the beginning of her career she was chosen for a huge talent show, with a world wide audience, but refused cause she did not want to leave her family alone, as she was the main bread winner, coming from a tough neighborhood. 4th Impact took her place. That's how the story goes anyway. She's such a beast though. She's the Boss

My thoughts are this. Katrina Velarde singing the "Reflection" cover has a low voice starting point. However, in most songs (like Morissette Amon, elanie duran), she intentionally raises the starting point of her voice. Raising the starting point reduces the sound space and makes it difficult to make a sound (strong, high). The problem is that each song starts to come and go. She is obsessed with the high she can't make. So the balance between high and low is broken. The most peculiar thing about katrina velarde is that there is no "resonance" even though the microphone has an echo....

The original singer of REFLECTION is LEA SALONGA a Filipino Broadway Diva and not Christina Aguilera. Lea sang the song REFLECTION in a Disney film "MULAN" years before Christina made her own cover of the song. Reflections original lyrics is longer than Christina.
