Selena was a natural born singer. she didn't have any training or vocal coaching. Also, all of her stage performances were spontaneous and nothing was choreographed. The band members that have been interviewed will tell you that they hardly ever rehearsed and kind of winged it. I think Selena didn't realize the big star she was becoming and to her this was just her job to perform so it was all second nature to her. I will always love SELENA.

Old fart here...I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Selena at a couple of clubs early in her career and I was blown away. I drove 200 miles to see her at this concert at the Astrodome and the last time was an outdoor concert near Corpus Christy. They were all magical and her fan base was the most devoted of any I've seen, and with good reason. The fans were little kids to aging grandma types, and all were loud but respectful. The grannies were the loudest, I believe.

Andy, in Corpus Christi, Selena is such a powerful presence. She was so dynamic, in changing her style and tone to meet the song. Add to that designing her own costumes, and her band’s. Such a great talent. I, also, find her ability to sing in Spanish so well, despite it not being her primary language.

I can't believe you are new to Selina's music. She has continued to inspire the not only the Latin community, but, I learned a few days ago that she is still the number ONE Tejano artist IN THE WORLD!! I wasn't shocked by that at all!! First, I want to say that I loved watching you watching Selena. Your passion and comments were everything that I thought about and felt the first time that I watched this video. I have to say that the first time that I heard this song was in the movie about her life leading up to her death starring Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer gave an extraordinary performance. I don't know if you have seen the movie or not but check it out if you haven't watched it. I guarantee you will absolutely love it! It has been about 25 years since the movie, but I hope that her family knows we haven't forgotten her, and never will. My only regret is, I hadn't heard of Selena until her death because the media flooded the television and tabloids with her death. After that, I tried to watch all the videos that I could find of her concerts.

I love her music, I started listening to her music after watching the movie as a child and still listen to her music to this day!!! I used her song, “No Me Queda Más” for an assignment in my Music Appreciation class b/c the story behind the song as well as the sound of the all the instruments.
