true. her voice really doesn't really take off in this key, as crazy as that sounds, which is why it doesn't sound as high like when whitney or other singers sing it. but we love to see versatility in perfromance. can't belt as high as usual? just show them the dynamics haha

So Hyang does not over sing this song. Her purity of tone, and depth of feeling with just a piano and guitar is astounding. Even Whitney had a tendency to over sing this. But they have different motivations for singing. Whitney to show her great skills and So Hyang to heal and comfort. Great having both versions. Of course So Hyang could also knock your socks off.

For your info, Sohyang has dedicated her life to Christ from the age of 18. She is a CCM (gospel) singer. She only really started performing contemporary songs at age of 32. She rejected many offers from big agencies from Korea to US, including that of the late Michael Jackson, to sing for God. Her goal is to use her songs to give comfort to those who needs healing. Her manager is her father-in-law. In her spare time she practices singing lolz. Most of her time is used for writing novels. She has already published a few volumes of fantasy fiction, and a few non fiction books.

Stripped-down version always gives you no excuse. You can always hide behind the glamorous stage and grande music, but sing a 5-stars song with this kind of rendition and stage setup? (C'mon, doing extreme hard level song while sitting down in complete silence, only with keys and acoustic guitar?) You only have 2 option, you go all in or go home, no excuse, nothing you can count of except your skills and soul. @@joyo0909 ~근데 영어로 소통하려는 태도가 용감하고 바람직한거예요 이 세계화 시대에. 한국말로 한국사람 끼리끼리만 소통말고. 좀 틀려도 기 죽지말고 계속 끈질기게 하면 늘고 영어가 외국어니까 이해해줘요 물론 안그런 이도 있지만 세계에서 보는 유튜브의 속성을 모르는거죠. 과거부터 지금까지 기다려 왔으니까: I’ve (I have 의 구어에서 준말) waited for this video. 도 맞지만 I’ve been waiting 하면 과거부터 지금 이순간까지가 강조되서 구어로 많이 쓰이는데. 발음할때 I’ve 의 ‘ve 는 입술로만 v 모양을 취하지 소리는 거의 나지않고 been 이 강조되서 아이 빈 (긴 이모음) 웨이링 (웨이에 스트레스가 들어가 팅은 약하게 링이 되버려요). 제가 한글 맞춤법 하도 구박 받아서 나는 영어 잘한다고 폼내고있나봐요.
