Say two things that are good about the camera work. :)
@WinterDarkmoon2 жыл бұрын
You are using rule of thirds, so that's basically most of what the camera world uses. Artistic photography/cinematography is good. Friendly reminder that the entertainment industry should only go for consenting things, though. PSA on cameras and their use, has nothing to do with the video really, just a plug for making sure all photography /videography is consensual, which is an important PSA, and the program I was in taught this - you don't have to do things when you are uncomfortable with them. Though it seems like you are using the camera well enough for the purpose of the reaction videos. :) Nice use of rule of thirds, and your lighting seems fairly even.

Okay I loved the way you described voices and how different his voice sounds. And your opinion about « we like those kind of sounds because we were taught to like them » makes me think a lot. Tamino has an Arabic musical background and they do not use the same scale and key as European and American norms. Sometimes it’s weird for us to listen to those artists who just do music differently and it’s amazing to see how voices are perceived is subjective as well. I loved your reaction, thank you again

i listened to the tiny desk version, which i like also bc you get the live version, no matter if they're singing sharp or they're pitchy. (why didn't you opt for it i wonder) it seems that the video you reacted to is pretty much a live version altho i'd have also liked an explanation for that discrepancy between the image and the sound. i kept hearing bagdad cafe's i am calling you and wonder if the reference is on purpose. and when i first heard indigo night i found that he sounded a lot like leonard cohen. he's really interesting and i love the emotions. i knew you'd have sth to say about his eyes. i don't feel the same way about it but i'd have been disappointed if you hadn't tbh. 😂

It's true that we are used to a pressed sound. This was the sound I was looking for for a long time, but every time I have approached it, my voice got strainend quickly, just too much compression. Now I try to blow more air through and relax, mix more head voice into it. Unfortunately it doesn't sound strong anymore. It takes a lot of practise to have a high meaty tone, I guess, especially with my light quiet tenor voice :D
@SamJohnsonVoice2 жыл бұрын
There's also a huge difference between perception and reality. I know when I'm singing well other people hear a loud, robust tone, but my perception especially above an Ab4 is that it's quite quiet and thin.

Hi Sam. You should really react to Jeff Satur if you want to discuss smooth transitions. He is a Thai singer with a truly great and versatile voice and style. His tone is great and he seems to have a knack for how to blend the traditional Thai runs and colorings with a more modern/contemporary approach. His song Comedy and the darker version of it called Tragedy is a great start to explore. He is doing a lot of OSTs as well.
