This is hands down my favorite Tiny Desk performance! Kierra and her team absolutely crushed it! Her vocals were flawless, the background singers' control and blend were unbelievable, and the band's energy and arrangements were top-notch. Jaron, your analysis was spot on - loved your insights on the set list and prioritizing vocal health over ego. Thanks for sharing your expertise! Jaron you're a total rockstar and can saaaaang.......

@@geminikid1617 Yes, she has range but this isn't true at all
@geminikid16173 ай бұрын
@@seanjenkins331 it is true. There’s not a real mezzo in the world who can belt w/so much intensity & TA engagement, & maintain the same volume, clarity & tonality from the mid range all the way to A5. Majority of Sopranos don’t even belt that high. Real mezzos are far heavier, larger lower & darker in tonality, weight & tessitura. Mezzos like Shirley Bassey, Mahalia Jackson , Melonie Daniels, Cleo Laine, Inez Andrews (who’s a high mezzo, yet her voice is still way bigger & darker than Kierra’s voice). I’ve even heard Sopranos w/voices darker & much heavier. People like Vivian Reed, Ann Nesby, etc. & this is coming from some 1 who thought she was a mezzo before. But factually, she isn’t.
