you guys need to do a reaction to Little Mix. either *Confetti (acoustic version)* or *Secret Love Song* (a ballad, e.g. Live from The Search - this one is the latest one… or Jingle Bell Ball 2018) or *Love On the Brain* (yes, their cover of Rihanna’s song, it’s so good)… or if you wanna go back a little more *How Ya Doin* (on Ryan Seacrest… which imo doesn’t showcase their actual vocal talent but mostly their harmonization… but it’s so cool!!)… just to name a few :) i think you’d enjoy all of them i’d even pay but i’m only a student

Olivia's had voice lessons since she was 5 so I think she has a healthy technique and knows what she's doing, but the advice is probably helpful for anyone who wants to try and sing like her without hurting themselves

I think her technique is healthy as someone with training but having training doesn’t always mean healthy technique. Sometimes artists want to achieve a certain sound and will not use healthy technique even though it will cost them later in life because their voice will deteriorate.

Lots of trained singers can hurt their voices due to technique. If you go for only sound without considering vocal health, you can hurt yourself. Lots of singers make that choice and ultimately it is up to the singer to choose.

I think what ends up happening in the verses is that she is giving an effect of passive-aggressiveness and angst. I feel she wants to sound exactly like she’s sounding in order to convey the meaning of the song. What it does on the more technical side is that it cuts her air flow and makes it harder to sing through those lines because they lack good support.

If you have time I think you may enjoy Ailee's (A-Lee) performance on Killing voice. She has great control and can instantly match emotionally to whichever song she is performing. Ailee is as very well known in South Korea for singing sound tracks for dramas, thus titled the OST Queen. One note is that compared to many female kpop idols she tends to have fuller sounding singing voice even when singing softer. Edit: autocorrect 😋

just found this video! im pretty sure this was one of her first live performances, but she’s gotten so much better!!!! her austin city limits set was actually incredible. to add to the conversation about her whispery verses, i think part of it is that olivia said her live performances are like a key or two lower than the studio ver. maybe that lower part is just too low for her range in this key? so she has more strain? idk im not too sure.

Melia was sitting down in the comfort of her own home, not running around & jumping up & down while singing and being videotaped live for millions of people. Also Melia's tone was very different than Olivia's (intentionally, as she was just giving an example). It didn't give the same powerful loud effect as Olivia's performance. So in conclusion, you're comparing apples and oranges. Both Olivia and Melia sang well

You're not a true fan unless you watched Bizaardvark. First of all I would clear the audience out there. Then I would have my voice quadruple tracked on the high parts. Do I have to listen to The Swiffer? I have a singer from Kazakhstan that is going to be something very special. Her name is Daneliya Tuleshova. I am going to give you a link below for her cover of, 'I Did Something Bad' she was 14 when she did this song. Daneliya also sang 'Tears Of Gold', by Faouzia. Danya sang a truncated version for her audition, but did a truer version after the show was over. She and Faouzia "talked" about the possibility of doing a duet because their vocal range in their chest voice are much the same. Faouzia has the edge on Daneliya in her upper range. But Faouzia is 21 and Daneliya is 15. O.K. so in case you haven't guessed I'm a big fan of this girls singing. So I'm giving you 2 links both for 'TearsOf Gold' The first is her auditon for AGT 2020, the second is her cover of the same song but a longer version.
