It's because you're not singing right. You're straining your voice when you're singing high notes. You're forcing your voice to those high notes. Chill and just let your voice hit those notes

@@vico_apc I'm not sure dude. I only had three lessons with a coach who used that method - he was a guy with a background in cabaret / Broadway style singing which I had no interest in but it worked for me at the time. That was ten years ago so I lost that ability and would need someone to coach me again. But people say my voice sounds good after a bit of warm up using exercises I learned from him. Hey guys, just wanna share that I had a big edema on my right vocal cord , and I ve been working these exercises daily along with others to start developing my mixed voice and it worked magically . Just got back from my doctor yesterday and I am finally healed after 1 year of pain and hoarseness every day. Hope you all get motivated and take action :)
@glisteningkabana81545 жыл бұрын
Cocos Ana Congrats on the recovery! Those daily exercises, how long each day do you do them for? Thanks.
@anastan23665 жыл бұрын
Glistening Kabana , I warm up everyday around 5-10 minutes only with the straw before I do anything else.then I make a 15-20 minutes exercises to develop and work my mixed voice. After that I make sure to have my straw in my purse and make slides whenever my voice feels tired through the day. But this is not a rule, sometimes , I only have time to warm up 5 minutes, or if my voice is not ok I may decide to just rest. Point is , don t think about the time you need, make it a part of your habbits and make sure whatever exercise you do is done correctly, cause otherwise it won t help

When you brought up the straw exercise I thought it was going to be one of the breathing exercises that I learned from a vocal coach, where you act like you have a straw in your mouth and it is in a huge drink that goes all the way from your chest to the floor. You inhale in a sipping fashion as hard as you can, sipping very low in the body. Once you have all the air you can take, you release it slowly. Then you sip again and this time when you release you do it on a ha. Then you repeat this over and over but after the 10th time after you sip from the straw, you take two fast sips that adds to the air or breath you had just taken in and then you hold it a few and then release. Very good exercise for storing air in your diaphragm and learning to breathe using it. Which of coarse leads to improving range and fullness of vocal tone.

Thank you for this video! I will try the exercises. I did some damage to mine when I was 18 and got real sick. Severe laryngitis and bronchitis and had to be rushed to the hospital because it was so swollen I could barely breathe and was turning purple and couldn't catch my breath because I was coughing so hard with no room for air to come in. I lost almost all of my upper register. But on the bright side, I can now sing lower than most females. My problem now is a combination of medication (blood pressure) and acid refux. Both things are causing hoarseness that lasts all day every day. I may not be able to sing, but I might be able to be heard now. 😁 Thanks again Adam!

Wanting to sing again, so hope these exercises will help my vocals recondition and heal; to get back my full range or even some of it would be great!

Bake cookies or use other edibles. Give your throat a chance to heal and the exercises will help repair the damage. They don't undo an ongoing cause, they help you return to normal function. I'm hoping you are not smoking tobacco in addition to your weed. Good luck

I had a really bad sore throat and cold which caused me to completely lose my voice for about 4-5 days, I could barely speak. I got my voice back but it still doesn't feel right and when I try to sing, my voice keeps catching and it sounds awful, it never use to do that before that horrible cold. It has been a month since I had it and my voice is still not better. I am hoping these exercises will help as I enjoy singing to myself and I want to one day build up the confidence to get over my fear of singing in front of others. I am now debating on seeing a doctor too.

Breath support... lie on your back and put a nice heavy book on your abs ...take a deep breath that lifts the book and lip trill without allowing the book to go down .... it engages your diaphragm and keeps you from breathing high in your chest limiting your breath support.
@kenneth69653 жыл бұрын
Try licking your lips. Then do the lip trills. When they are moist they keep rolling.
