You don't need extra software (other than your DAW). Midi notes and CC can be sent either via USB or MIDI In. Download and read the full reference manual for more info. Find it on our website on the page for VoiceLive Touch on the "Support" tab.

Yes, yes you can! VL Touch 2 integrates fantastically with DAWs like Ableton Live and almost all paramters can be controlled via MIDI/USB.

I love how almost everyone is just walking by like nothing is going down: "Hey, check out these new digital retina scanning headphones...oh wait, what about these microphones that can bring fleas to orchestral heights." How about, "Hey, lets check out this live performance of soul transference."

Dear TC-Helicon! I'm planning on buying this product, I'm very impressed by it, I'm particulary sold. I only have one problem which causes me to hasitate. I move a lot on stage. Like a Lot! And most of the times I take the mic-stand with me too. I'm spinning and running around. How does the VLT2 handle this Kind of use? Will it stick, or Fall off? There's also a bunch of cables attached. Do you recommend it for me, or should I look after the footswitches instead?
@philipmumford78717 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have one an it clips very securely to the mic stand - the rubber case has a circular notch in the back which the stand clips into - if you have the right size (it needs to be quite thin). The VLT2 is pretty heavy (its made of really thick rubber) so it gives a different feel to the stand balance.. I also bought a stand with a solid round metal base as it felt a bit unstable with a "legged" mic stand. i'd compare it with the VL3 - that might make more sense for you. also ive found mine has very sensitive touch pads and occasionally its switched an effect on when I brushed it with the cable or whatever. Effects are brilliant - very high quality. Steep learning curve to get the most out of it but simple to use at a basic level. You can run all effects together and switch them off individually so you can get away with just one preset if you want to use it like that or you can setup your set with a preset per song or whatever - its VERY powerful. The "hit" button is great for chorus etc. If I had the chance again I think I might look at the VL3 as well and compare them together - convenient as this is with the great display and closeness to your eyes the fact that the pads triggered a few times live by accident - then again I love the controls all there in front of me (you can change stuff in realtime that a VL3 probably can't) - decisions decisions!!!! Oh and you have the touch slider for filter and vocoder effects - VL3 won't have that :-)

Philip Mumford Thank you for your answer! The main reasons why I lean towards the VLT2 rather than VL3 are the ones you just stated in the last paragraph. Also, I had the opportunity to try VL3 out, and I found it quite difficult to use. I just couldnt find the Tap Delay setting, and that is something I want immediate access to. Also I can by footswitches for VLT2 anytime I want. :D i figured since then, that I would put the VLT2 on a different mic stand. That way I can reach it anytime I want to, and i can still move freely around the stage. So its stable you say, but the one thing I'm still not quite sure about are the cables. how many are there, and where do they plug to? Can they make movement difficult?
@philipmumford78717 жыл бұрын
Matten I use a short 2 or 3 metre cable to plug the mic into the vlt2. then the output goes from the vlt2 to the mixer/p.a. via a long lead. power is a floor brick type in the u.k. cabling is pretty neat and I really like the short mic cable but you have to get it the right length to let you move. also if you can imagine it attaches at the unit's height on the stand, not trailing all over the floor. you need to experiment with some different lengths to get it right for you. I've also got the switch 3 which is pretty essential for live - particularly for the "hit" function so you can look effortless as you switch on harmony etc :-D there are also the mp75 and mp76 mics which also have the buttons on them - even more invisible than the switch! I already had a decent mic so I didn't splurge on them. I'm tempted by the switch 6 for even more control but I'm not going to be gigging so much going forward so probably not. if you use the switch 3 or switch 6 its another cable (guitar jack style but stereo ring tip). if you use the mp 75 or 76 there are no additional cables other than the mic cables - neat. obviously if you run a keyboard or guitar into it that's another cable. plus if you midi it up there is another. however neatest setup would be unit + mp76 - just mic in, mic out and power. (or your existing mic and use the unit to change settings). I use a beta 58. sounds fuller than a regular 58.

Hi. I have a question about this device. Can I program presets switching/fx parameters automation from DAW via midi/usb? I understand, touch control is fine. But our singer is busy jumping around the stage :)

From what I can see of the back panel, he's going into the instrument input. Looks to me like Mic In, one TRS out and Inst In are connected.

Divier Guive Sure, just connect the keys output to the Aux input. Make sure that you've got Aux (or all) as the input setting for the Looper in SETUP --> Looper.
