Between Geoff's vocal range, Eli's highs, J and Cesar's harmonies, and Layne's fantastic percussion and arrangement I need to invest in CPR equipment. WOW!! I think it's fair to say they took us to church, pun intended.

A true masterpiece. If you haven't seen them yet, The Bass Gang released four Disney covers, including one yesterday.

Never expected Geoff to do a villain so wicked. This was wicked, mesmerizing and unforgettable. Check Cesar's air guitar and high vocals just before the guard (Tony Wakim) comes in to give Frollo the news about the gypsy being gone.

Layne's arrangement here was just amazing. Cesar's instrumental section on the air guitar was brilliant. I loved that they kept in the Latin Gregorian sounding sections It was wonderful all the way around!

This is phenomenal! I love that we got to hear Geoff's mid/upper range. I never saw the movie, but consensus seems to be that VP's version is better.

Some really cool arrangement choices others smarter than me have pointed out - use of bell tones in a song from a story about a bell ringer - and one of Layne’s percussion choices sounds like castanets for a song about a gypsy dancer. Aside from those, I think the almost liturgical sounding drone in Geoff’s singing of “God have Mercy…” really emphasizes Frollo’s villiany in the way he misuse his position in the church (yeah, I know the movie changed that). It is so hypocritical and the tone they used there is almost emotionless. As if Frollo’s soul is cold & dead.

The subtitles help to understand the latin phrases behind the solos. It should be Dam not Daym, as it's French.
